Job Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Test Manager to lead the planning, coordination and execution of testing activities across software development projects. This role will be pivotal in maintaining high standards of quality by defining testing strategies, managing test execution and ensuring timely defect resolution and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Participating in the preparation of quality assessments, reports and metrics formulating go-no go statement based on reports and metrics, test progress and defect status
• Develop and implement the overall testing strategy for new projects and existing applications.
• Design test plans, test cases and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
• Oversee the execution of manual and automated testing to ensure that all aspects of the application are thoroughly tested.
• Collaborate with development teams, business analysts to troubleshoot and resolve defects in a timely manner.
• Monitor testing progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding test results, defects, risks and issues.
• Ensure compliance with best practices in quality assurance and testing processes.
• Research and implement new tools and techniques to improve testing methodologies.
• Facilitate communication both within the testing team and with other departments, promoting a culture of quality.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in software testing with 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc) and automation tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, etc).
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

You will have a key role in ensuring that our state-of-the-art baggage handling and logistics systems are handed over to our customers in the quality that they expect. You will be working with multi-disciplinary teams and interacting with team members ranging wide in nationalities globally.

Ensuring the quality of our systems

As a Test Manager, you will be involved from the beginning of our projects. You will be an active member of the project management team of the project that you are working for, and from the very beginning of the project your focus will be on quality, validation of requirements, and commissioning strategy. Furthermore, you will be involved in decisions on how and when mechanical, electrical and software components will be tested. We will train you in our products and processes as well as in our test and commissioning strategies.

You will:

· Create an overall Integrated Test Plan (ITP) for the project.

· Decide on a decommissioning and commissioning strategy.

· Work together with the Project Manager and the Technical Project Manager on risk management, to ensure that the right balance is found with regard to what to test.

· Contribute to the schedule, budget, resource plan and site management plan.

· Review test cases from all internal stakeholders as well as from suppliers.

· Organise Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), both on emulators and on physical test loops.

· Lead the test and validation process on sites where we commission our systems.

· Communicate with our clients regarding the progress of testing.

· Perform acceptance testing together with the people from the airport.

· Lead the process of requirement management.

· Work in our head office but also on site at the place of installation, for a longer period.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or Business Administration

- 3-5 years of project experience, with a proven track record of hands-on experience as a Test Manager.

- Project Management experience and proficient in project management tools (e.g. MS Projects or Primavera, PowerPoint) will be an added advantage.

- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, conflict management, negotiation skills, and teamwork.

- Organized, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Leadership skills.

Project description

Our Customer is a Leading bank in Asia that provides a front to back integrated platform for straight through processing and risk management.This is a multi-year initiative where different projects run in concurrence under the program's variety milestones. These streams include new product initiatives, new entity roll-outs and regulatory compliances.We will have key roles in projects such as managing the scope, design and delivering requirements from front to back office with Luxoft.

Responsibilities

• Define the testing strategy and framework to ensure a high standard of testing and quality assurance is in place
• Plan and manage various phases of testing (SIT, UFT, UAT & Regression)
• Manage the test preparation, test cycles & test environment
• Engage test automation team for planning, scripting and execution of test scripts
• Chair the test progress meeting
• Conduct defect triage meetings with Vendor, Users and IT teams
• Plan and manage the runbook for all testing phases, Mock Runs & Production Implementations
• Report test progress and Issues (Daily, Weekly)

Must have

• 5+ years of software testing experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience as Test Manager on Murex platform
• Knowledge on financial market products
• Understanding of bank's front, middle and back office operations, finance and accounting. Experience and management of at least one Front to Back implementation within a financial services organization
• Experience in vendor management and good IT risk understanding.
• Understanding of Murex automation using GUI tools such as QTP as well as Report comparison tools.
• Experience on murex setup and functional tests using various module of murex.
• Ability to work independently and take decisions
• Experience in working direct with Technical leads, project managers and Business Analysts in business and IT organization
• Experience with Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of the testing process
