**JOB SUMMARY**
Under the guidance of the DOE/CE/Duty Engineer (Common Area) or his/her delegate, the General Technician ensures that the hotel's equipment is operated in accordance with hotel standards to ensure maximum efficiency and guest satisfaction.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
+ Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
+ Minimum 2 years' related experience in hotels
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
+ Perform all routine preventative maintenance and curative maintenance
+ Order and monitor fuels, lubricants and repair parts
+ Maintain clean and tidy plant rooms
+ Maintain a level of broader knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all fields of the department
+ Attend to all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises, including any new additions /extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel
+ Assist with the implementation of the hotel's preventative maintenance system and repair log system
+ Participate in instructing colleagues on the proper operation, safety procedures and cleaning of all equipment
+ Conduct and/or participate in staff meeting regarding proper operating and maintenance practices of equipment
+ Inform superior of the status of repairs and pending costs and indicate when it would be reasonable to consider replacement
+ Record daily service work, including maintaining individual replacement costs along with time/task labour hours cost
+ Repair and maintain guest room & common area facilities, light facilities, furniture and equipment
+ Prioritize work in line with guest requests and management
+ Establish and maintain proper parts inventory levels
+ Implement and carry out maintenance program in accordance with established timeframes
+ Carry out and document regular inspections of plant and equipment in computerized system
+ Ensure that appropriate files are maintained and resources kept for future reference
+ Complete daily reports outlining work undertaken for the day
+ Explore and incorporate environmentally friendly initiatives
+ Efficient and effective use of recycling methods
+ Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
+ Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
+ Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
+ Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
+ Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements

**What You Will Do**
+ Perform engine testing in accordance with approved test procedures, work instructions, and safety standards
+ Prepare test beds, engines, tooling, and instrumentation prior to test runs
+ Conduct pre-test, test, and post-test activities including checks, adjustments, and shutdown procedures
+ Monitor engine parameters during testing and identify abnormal conditions or fault indications
+ Respond appropriately to alarms, fault codes, or test deviations
+ Accurately record test data, parameters, and results in designated systems or log sheets
+ Assist engineers and senior technicians in troubleshooting test issues and equipment faults
+ Perform basic inspection and care of test cell equipment and tooling
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Diploma / Higher Nitec / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or related field
+ Experience in engine testing, test cell operations, production testing, or industrial testing environment is preferred
+ Willing to work rotating shifts (Day & Night) and commit to overtime when required.
+ Ability to read and follow technical documents, test procedures, and work instructions
