• RE shall provide standing supervision of all civil and structural works to ensure compliance with the authorities' requirements

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on the progress of works
• Carry out inspection of civil and structural works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works
• Supervise concreting, pavement, drainage construction work
• Check and assess temporary works and ERSS by the contractors to ensure that the C&S and building works are safe and in compliance with all relevant regulations
• Manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officers under his/her charge
• Ensure that records of all civil and structural engineering works, including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are updated in a timely manner and properly kept

Requirements

• Possess Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a civil engineer, of which at least 5 years shall be in supervision of works, i.e. major construction works involving diaphragm wall construction, deep excavation, cut-and-cover tunnels, drainage, pavement, taxiways and runways
• Registered Resident Engineer with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
