Job Responsibilities:
- Project management and execution with target deliverables and schedule.
- Fabrication of silicon photonics integrated circuits based on silicon photonics platform.
- Independently carry out opto-electronic characterization to verify device / circuit design and performance.
- Design / optimize photonic integrated circuit for various applications.
- Test result documentation and performance analysis.

- Collaborate with project team members to ensure device meets specification and verify device's performance

- Hands-on experience in photonic simulation using software such as Lumerical / Rsoft, Electrical simulation using software such as Ansys / Synopsys / Silvaco and Layout drawing
- Preferred experience in high-speed devices (MOD / PD) design / characterization
- Experience in fabrication of silicon photonics is a bonus point

This role serves as the primary scientific representative the project and is responsible for executing the research vision in collaboration with local and international partners. The successful candidate will drive the development and scale-up of continuous flow chemical systems and novel catalytic pathways, contributing to global advancements in sustainable chemistry and renewable feedstock utilization. The candidate will also be responsible for cross-institutional coordination, lab commissioning, team building, and research translation, ensuring smooth integration across NTU, MPI, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific leadership and direction for a multidisciplinary research team focused on biomass valorization and continuous-flow process development.
- Act as the scientific and operational anchor between MPI (Germany) and NTU (Singapore), facilitating effective cross-national coordination.
- Lead the design, commissioning, and operation of the Automated Flow Chemistry Laboratory, including layout design, staffing, and procurement.
- Drive the development and optimization of closed-loop, automated flow chemistry systems for biomass valorization, integrating data-driven design and in-line analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be responsible for conducting research to build a generalizable and interactive 3D medical image segmentation model that can significantly boost clinical efficiency. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by Associate Prof SUN Qianru from School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS), Singapore Management University (SMU).
Candidate's core responsibilities are:
- Design, implement, and iteratively improve the three core imSAM components within a unified 3D medical-image framework.
- Generate large-scale synthetic MRI, CT, and X-ray datasets; coordinate secure access to real clinical data; and enforce data-privacy protocols and anonymization standards.
- Plan rigorous ablation studies and cross-modality benchmarks, assessing generalization across organs (e.g., liver, tumor, kidney) and imaging modalities; track performance metrics and error analysis for both common and rare conditions.
- Interface with radiologists and surgeons to collect expert prompts, refine interactive workflows, and translate feedback into model or UI improvements that enhance real-time segmentation usability.
- Lead paper preparation, conference presentations, open-source releases, and assist the PI with progress reports, grant milestones, and future funding proposals linked to imSAM's roadmap.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning; with particular focus on deep-learning based AI techresearch.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant research experience in deep learning, multimodal data processing (especially visualdata processing), and domain generalization.
- Proficiency in programming software/languages such as PyTorch and TensorFlow will be positively considered/ is required
