Relying on your sound news judgment, refined design sensibilities and technical knowledge, you’ll edit charts, maps and graphics, as well as ambitious, data-driven visual narratives.

You’ll assign stories — and inspire reporters to generate ideas for graphics and visual narratives — that push our coverage forward, and you’ll deliver clear, actionable feedback as you edit. We value editors who lead by example and pitch in to ensure we publish on deadline. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau. This role requires strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and hands-on experience with data modeling, SQL, and ETL processes.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
• Optimize and tune dashboards for performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain data extracts, data sources, and deployments.
• Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.
• Automate reporting processes and support ad-hoc analytical requests.
