Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Energy Research Specialist to join our team. This role will involve conducting systems-level research for tropical megacities, focusing on energy challenges and translating outcomes into industry and practice.

The SCARCE Project

This project involves collaborating with international partners to recycle electronic waste through the development of innovative technologies. The goal is to recycle Lithium-ion batteries, silicon solar panels, and printed circuit boards, promoting sustainable energy practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Establish rigorous protocols for characterizing silicon solar panel composition and components.
• Develop and execute experiments for extracting and recovering materials from silicon solar panels.
• Manage experimental data, assist in report preparation, presentations, and manuscript development.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and oversee its upkeep.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and teamwork experience.
• Ability to learn and adapt, with familiarity in material characterization techniques considered an advantage.

System Engineering:

§ Conduct software/hardware troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues

§ Collaborate and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements, address issue and ensure the successful execution of projects

Project Documentation:
