 Accountabilities 
 Lead, create, and staff the new Quality Control organizational structure supporting Singapore Operations facility start‐up and routine production. 
 Plan, direct, and oversee QC operations to facilitate delivery of the manufacturing plan. 
 Act as an escalation point for complex issues within QC, managing issues through to resolution. 
 Determine the talent, materials, equipment, and services required for long‐term delivery targets, ensuring adequate resourcing and development of capabilities. 
 Assess immediate and long‐term risks to quality processes and workflows, implementing pre‐emptive solutions through cross‐functional engagement. 
 Drive transformation projects for new technology and digital change strategies within QC (e.g., LIMS, Moda, LES, lab instruments). 
 Direct future‐focused skill‐development interventions through cross‐functional, regional, and external partnerships. 
 Explore, identify, evaluate, and leverage opportunities for technology and exemplary practice adoption within the site. 
 Manage relationships with regulatory bodies as needed, resolving any issues raised.

 Essential Skills/Experience 
 Bachelor's degree in a science/technical field such as Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry. 
 Considerable experience in supervisory/managerial roles within quality in the Pharmaceutical Industry. 
 Experience in leading and managing a sizeable quality function and delivering improvements. 
 Experience working with regulatory/SOP/GxP requirements and driving compliance. 
 Experience leading sophisticated projects/operations in terms of resources, vendors, and budgets. 
 Experience with product launches, health authority inspections, and global commercial product distribution requirements. 
 Experience driving large change initiatives through teams. 
 Desirable Skills/Experience 
 Advanced degree in Science, Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or related technical field.

Examples include T&L and third party audit report reviews towards qualification and monitoring of tollers to GFSI standards, assist with decisions on where QC will be done (toller, external, internal) and which plant QA/QC team will be responsible for quality system data entry, product grading, product release and disposition of out-of-spec product / blocked stock for new products that are toll processed.
- Drive initiatives at their facilities of responsibility derived from the pillars of Global Quality, including Manufacturing Partnership, Customer advocacy, Analytics, Systems-Governance and the Global Quality.
- Oversee the management of Quality and Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation and ensure that all new regulations are quickly and accurately implemented in the plant.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for their responsibilities and assist with support and advice as needed.
- Oversee the management of HACCP/HARPC Food Safety Plans. Review HACCP plans and strategies for new products as needed. Ensure management of HACCP records and file maintenance via local QA/QC team. Ensure conformance with best-in-class allergen control programs.
- Hold the QA Manager accountable for the maintenance of the Quality document libraries/site Quality Management manual, and assist with support and advice as needed
- Oversee the performance and reporting of daily, weekly and monthly reviews of all quality KPI's via direct reports.
- Partner with Operations to further improve upon KPIs as part of a proactive continuous improvement program, which includes RFT (1st pass quality performance), Blocked Stock Inventory (reductions), and customer complaints (reductions).
- Hold QA Managers accountable for internal manufacturing specifications, standards, protocols and procedures.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for the development and execution of training programs that support the Company’s objectives concerning quality and food safety, and assist with support and advice as needed.
- Oversee the application of administrative and record-keeping processes to support the food safety and quality programs listed above via direct reports.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for the timely investigation and associated corrective actions of all plant-related customer quality complaints, process deviations related to food safety & OOS material, and assist with support and advice as needed.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for the facilitation and assistance of the local plant and area managers on troubleshooting, problem resolution, and CAPA programs.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for their plant's lab group's fiscal year spending.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for the review of all plant project requests for capital expenditure to ensure that the project will adhere to all quality and food safety standards.
- Responsible for review and support of projects that directly impact Quality Assurance in their region, which stretch across multiple sites and will be the lead contact person for Quality on such projects.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for all customer and certifying body audits and implement corrective actions, as needed, to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Help assure all facilities under responsibility maintain GFSI certifications and operate under GFSI principles at the top performance level (BRC grade A/AA for example.)
- Help assure applicable facilities maintain ISO 9001 certifications and operate under ISO principles.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for the development and management of their environmental monitoring programs, as well as any tolling sites that they are accountable for and assist with support and advice as needed.
- Hold QA Managers accountable for the maintenance of plant & lab analytical equipment, ensure compliance with group methods, and ensure compliance with our lab equipment.
- Maintain regular communications with direct reports and ensure a high level of support and engagement within the team.
- Lead support and execution of Internal Audits (GCAs (if required), ESAs, BRC, etc) for Quality as needed.
- Provide support and advice as needed to Customer Advocacy, Sales, Product Management and Supply Chain concerning customer needs
EHS
· Perform, Maintain and improve the EHS standard and requirements as set by the Company. Participate in the company’s EHS program, including training, audit etc., arranged by the company.
 
COMPETENCIES
· Able to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or customers.
· Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
· Experience with EHS requirements
· Able to analyse gaps and propose solutions
 
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Engineering, Chemistry or comparable required
 
EXPERIENCE
· 15+ years of related Quality Assurance Management experience (in a food or chemical manufacturing plant is preferred.)
· 5+ years’ experience as a people manager
 
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
· Formal HACCP, PCQI, and Quality System training is strongly preferred
· · Lean Six-Sigma project experience or certification preferred
