About the Role:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Statistics Officer to join our team in the Statistics Unit at SingHealth.
• As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving data-informed decision-making across our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, generate actionable insights, and deliver easy-to-digest reports and strategic summaries for Senior Management and stakeholders.
• Designing and producing useful self-service data reports for organisation-wide sharing, promoting their use, and guiding users on how to interpret and use the data.
• Processing routine and ad-hoc data requests from relevant government bodies and internal stakeholders.
• Building, enhancing, and maintaining Data Warehouses (DWs).
• Collecting, organising, and maintaining useful data not captured in the DWs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in areas relating to data management, statistics or data warehouse.
• Some experience in machine learning will be an advantage.
• Proficient with at least one programming language, preferably Microsoft Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), STATA, Python and/or R.
• Proficiency with Tableau and Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) will be advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, logical thinking, analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and write concisely.

The role of a performance reporting specialist involves providing critical data to support business decision-making. This position requires the ability to work with stakeholders across different regions, collecting and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and translating them into actionable insights.

• Data Management – Collaborating with regional stakeholders to collate KPI metrics data.
• Performance Reporting – Working with the Data Analytics Team to develop management dashboards for performance reporting purposes.
• Budgeting and Forecasting – Providing budgeting and forecasting support.
• Participating in data and non-IT related projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead data analysis efforts for both customer and internal teams focused on H-M Matching and HDD optimization
• Isolate and evaluate the impact of Head and Media components on HDD performance
• Identify Key Process Input Variables (KPIVs) and Media Parameters affecting HDD pass rates, error codes, and defect rates
• Develop predictive models for HDD performance during media development using KPIV/Parameter matrices
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to communicate analysis results and findings
• Support RTV failure analysis (FA) and work with internal teams on root cause identification and corrective actions

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field; Masters degree is a plus
• Minimum 1 year experience in the HDD industry
• At least 2 years experience in data analysis or similar function
• Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills
• Ability to interpret complex analytical results
• Adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Proficient in analysis software such as Minitab, Tableau, Spotfire, JMP, R, or equivalents
• Competent in Microsoft Office
• Preferred but not required: knowledge of Python, SQL, Macros, or other programming languages
