The Fitness Coach/Personal Trainer is responsible for providing various personal training services that offer members programs to maximise workout efficiency, improve fitness, increase stamina, enjoy their fitness experience and improve overall sense of well-being. Schedule and complete record keeping and perform all duties as stipulated in the Anytime Fitness Standard Operating Procedures while assisting the Assistant Manager/Gym Manager in numerous managerial duties and ensuring that everything that happens in the gym complies with the Anytime Fitness brand and mission.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
- Diploma in kinesiology, sports/exercise science, or other related field preferred or
- Equivalent Work/Life Experience.
Experience:
- Two-year personal training experience preferred
- Program design experience preferred
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
- Current Certified Personal Trainer (Minimum of One Certification)
- Current CPR/AED certification
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Ability to build relationship with members
- Excellent customer service and promotional skills; energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
- Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition and program design
- Knowledge of safe exercise techniques, and potential injuries and ability to handle emergencies
