The job holder is responsible for all work functions related to laundry operation from collection of soil linen, washing, drying, folding and dispatch of clean linen

• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile item
• Collection and dispatch of soil and clean line
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures
• Performing minor sewing duties
• Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits
• Perform any other works as assigned.

• Regularly inspect quality of uniform and laundry items and ensure that they are well-maintained and in good order
• Check and follow-up on any physical defects of the uniform and all laundry items
• Ensure that laundry room is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Assist in any other duties as assigned

• Sorting, recording/ photographing, and tagging laundry for dry clean and laundry.
• Use computer to tag the garments.

• Steam, iron and blow garment using commercial pressing equipment.

• Operate machines to aid in the pressing & ironing process.
• Carry out quality checks on garments.

• Pack garments according to instructions.
• Hang and/or fold garments according to instructions.
• Carry out quality checks on garments before packing.

• Ideally with a diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as Laundry Manager or Assistant Laundry Manager in larger operation.
• Comprehensive knowledge in chemical handling as well as maintenance and upkeep of laundry equipment.
• Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
