About The Job
The successful candidate will work closely with the school's lab support team to ensure the smooth operation of laboratories. You will set up and maintain network devices, manage desktop systems, install software, and support specialized lab equipment while providing technical assistance to various stakeholders across the university.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Support
Configure and install network hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls).
Provide prompt and effective technical support for network connectivity, minimizing downtime.
Analyze technical and business requirements and implement optimal network configurations.
Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Lab & IT Support
Provide technical support for ICT courses and capstone projects.
Maintain, configure, and support lab, project hardware and software.
Troubleshoot issues in both physical and virtual lab environments for faculty and students.
Assist faculty and capstone project supervisors in sourcing and evaluating new equipment and software.
Coordinate with third‐party vendors.
Assist with other tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
University degree in Networking, Computer Science, information technology, or related fields.
At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in higher education, with at least 2 years managing physical/virtual lab environments.
Proficient with Cisco, Linux, and open‐source environments.
Hands‐on experience using Cisco CLI to configure and troubleshoot network devices.
CCNA certification preferred.
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are advantageous.
Experience with Learning Management Systems and educational technology tools is a plus.
Self‐motivated team player with strong problem‐solving and analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with chemists to lead a team of lab analysts and technicians in executing daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and quality system.
2. Develop and validate analytical methods for the testing of chemical compounds, ensuring accuracy, precision, and reliability. Identify and drive initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and productivity.
3. Manage laboratory inventory and equipment, including consumables/spare-parts, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning to meet quality and operational requirements. Ensure analytical tools are in proper maintained and functional for accurate testing and analysis.
4. Provide support in new product development (R&D), analytical metrology, and quality assurance for all products. Offer product expertise, technical support for new developments, and address technical emergencies.
5. Collaborate with other departments on continuous improvement projects to achieve overall business objectives.
6. Perform Quality Control (QC) responsibilities, including conducting quality tests, inspections, and analyses to ensure product integrity and compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
7. Investigate deviations, out-of-specification results, and quality-related issues. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as necessary.
8. Serve as quality master to ensure product quality meets customer's requirements.
9. Maintain and update QC quality database in a timely manner. Assist in quality related decisions by applying relevant technical knowledge.

Job Requirements:

1. Master's Degree in Chemistry with 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience in QC lab or a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with 5 – 6 years of relevant working experience.
2. Experience or significant exposure to the specialty chemicals or semiconductor wafer fab supplier environment is an added advantage.
3. Strong hands-on instrumentation experience such as ICP/MS, GC/MS, UV-Vis, GC/FID/TCD, IC, HPLC, ICP/OES, NIR, and other measurement tools.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Engineer to lead on-site indoor air quality (IAQ) sampling operations and spearhead the establishment of an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 compliant Quality Management System (QMS) for our environmental testing services. This role combines technical expertise in IAQ field sampling with strong knowledge of accreditation standards, measurement uncertainty, method validation, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting IAQ sampling activities across client sites in Singapore, while simultaneously building and implementing a robust QMS from the ground up to achieve full ISO 17025 accreditation. The position requires hands-on technical ability, excellent documentation skills, and the capability to interpret and apply international standards such as SS 554:2023, ASHRAE 62.1, NEA IAQ Guidelines, and WHO Air Quality Guidelines.

This is a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, traceability, and credibility of our IAQ data and services.

On-Site IAQ Sampling & Data Collection

Conduct on-site environmental sampling for key IAQ parameters including:

• various gases

Use and maintain calibrated IAQ instruments such as:

• Air sampling pumps
• Gas monitors/detectors (e.g., CO, CO₂, formaldehyde)
• Particle counters (PM2.5, RSP)
• Thermohygrometers, anemometers

Ensure all sampling procedures comply with relevant standards:

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
