Overview
The Utility Technician is responsible to monitor, operate, minimum troubleshoot, perform minor maintenance of all facilities and utilities equipment and services in site buildings to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of plant equipment and machinery complying to site Procedures, cGMP, HSE and local statutory guidelines.
Responsibilities
• Carry out all the duties and responsibilities that are assigned time to time by engineering team.

• To conduct daily checks to ensure essential F&U equipment are operating satisfactorily at all times.
• Attend to complaints and service request and to maintain records of works carried out.
• Operate the various F&U system and maintain daily operating log of the systems.
• To operate and inspect all ACMV equipment.
• To operate and inspect all waste water system other water treatment systems.
• Ensure housekeeping around plants rooms are in order.
• Check all lightings and replace defective bulbs.
• To operate the boilers and its auxiliary systems in a safe and efficient manner
• To report any breakdown to Duty Engineers.
• Any other scope of work assign.

Job Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot and repair of hydraulic and electrical system for Aircraft Tow Tractors, GPU (Ground Power Unit), ACU

(Air Conditioning Unit), ASU (Air Starter Unit), etc.

· Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out properly in accordance with approved documents.

· Ensure proper and accurate details filled up and signed off on job card and task sheets upon completion of work.

· Ensure equipment is in working/serviceable condition before releasing to user.

· Perform modification on electrical wiring as necessary with approved documents or data as per OEM

recommendation.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum NiTEC/Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.

· At least 1 years of working experience in Automotive industries.

· Comfortable with shift work arrangement.

· Candidate with LTA Class 3/4/5 license will have added advantage.

· Monday to Thursday, 0800 to 1730 hour, Friday, 0800 to 1700.

Work Time Profile:

5.5-day work week

Monday to Friday, 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM & Saturday 8.00 AM to 12.00 PM

Responsibilities:

• • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment used in seafood processing, including but not limited to conveyors, processing machines, scales, and packaging equipment
• • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely repairs to minimise downtime
• • Perform repairs and replace faulty components or parts as necessary, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols
• Diagnose and rectify equipment malfunctions, including the calibration and adjustment of sensors, actuators, and control systems
• Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, identify areas for improvement, and propose modifications or upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, repairs, and parts inventory
• Collaborate with production staff to schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules
• Adhere to all safety regulations and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures when working on machinery or equipment
• Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and industry best practices in machine maintenance, recommending and implementing relevant improvements
• Coordinate with external vendors or service providers for specialised repairs or maintenance tasks, as needed
• Provide training and guidance to production operators on basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
• Maintain a clean and organised maintenance workshop, ensuring the availability of necessary tools, equipment, and spare parts
• Assist in other maintenance-related tasks or duties as required, supporting the overall functioning of the seafood processing facility

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a food or seafood processing environment
• Proven experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, including conveyors, processing machines, scales, and packaging equipment
• Familiarity with calibration and adjustment of sensors, actuators, and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to minimise production downtime
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with production staff and external vendors
• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset for identifying potential issues and implementing improvements
• Physically able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy parts, standing for long periods, and working in a cold, wet environment

Responsibilities:

• Support the Shift Charge Engineer in achieving contractual, technical, and commercial objectives for plant operations.
• Perform quality monitoring and plant operations in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on the isolation and normalization of equipment in accordance with the Permit-To-Work system.
• Act as first response for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
• Ensure all maintenance and modification activities are conducted safely and in compliance with plant procedures.
• Collect raw material and product samples for laboratory testing.

• Nitec, GCE ‘N’ Level or equivalent qualification.

• Be in charge of plant operation activities
• Optimize plant operation according to grid demand and equipment conditions
• Ensure power generation quantity, plant auxiliary load, fuel consumption and boiler feed water makeup rate within limit
• Approve working permit as per regulation and procedures
• Identify the equipment defect and report any abnormal conditions
• Know how to operate DCS (Distributed Control System)
• Able to perform testing of different electrical installations and equipment and diagnose causes of electrical malfunction
• Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized
• Experience in Power Plant industry is an advantage

• Independent and possess sound analytical and communication skills
• Able to do rational shift work, on 12-hours shifts to operate the Boiler, Steam Turbine and Generator from the central control room under supervision of Shift Charge Engineer
