Our team is seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join our operations. As a key member of our plant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate facilities and utilities equipment to ensure reliable operation.

Job summary

What you will be doing
  • To carry out daily routine inspection of all M&E equipment/ building structure/ plumbing and sanitary items and report any defects, breakdowns, etc.

  • To repair and replace defective items as reported in the checklist or feedback by members/ staffs.

  • To carry out building maintenance works such as painting, joinery, masonry repairs, fabrication works and etc.

  • To co-ordinate with the immediate superior to liaise and supervise respective term contractors or external contractors for replacement or improvement works.

  • To assist in setting up the M&E equipment before the events.

  • To assist in the festival decoration with team.

  • To assist in inspecting of air conditioners, auxiliary equipment and pumps to ensure it is functioning properly before any functions or events.

  • To assist in replacing electrical items and fixtures and carry out trouble shooting of electrical faults, installing electrical wiring and water service pipe installation as and when required.

  • To ensure that the daily work performed is in compliance with the safety guideline as well as in accordance to the Club’s rules and regulations.

  • To standby for any breakdown reported.

  • To carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Management or HOD.

What we are looking for
  • Preferably with 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in facilities & building maintenance;

  • Must possess at least a National Trade Certificate II / III (NTC 2 or NTC 3) / Nitec / Higher Nitec in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent;

  • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g wire, voltmeter etc) and drawings and blueprints;

  • Preferably to have a hospitality background;

  • Proactive, independent, work with minimal supervision and perform well under pressure;

  • A team player and the ability to work during weekends and on public holidays;

  • Able to perform rotating shift duties on a 6-day work week (No midnight shift).

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all equipment, machines, and automation stations in the Optics department, with a focus on minimising downtime and supporting operational efficiency.

This position reports to the Principal Maintenance Engineer and is part of the Manufacturing Maintenance team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.

Responsibilities
  • Equipment & Machine Maintenance: Attend to and resolve all optics equipment and machine issues to minimise downtime. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance according to plan.
  • Record Keeping & Inventory: Update and maintain machine downtime records for OEE monitoring. Manage essential spare parts inventory and coordinate repairs with suppliers and makers.
  • Contractor & Vendor Supervision: Supervise external contractors/vendors, communicate effectively with suppliers, and prepare/send parts back to machine makers for repairs.
Essential Requirements
  • Relevant machine maintenance experience preferred. Electrical/Electronic background, PLC and robotics knowledge, and experience with vacuum chambers or evaporators are advantageous.
  • Nitec or Diploma in Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, hands-on, independent, safety-minded, and able to communicate and coordinate effectively.

  • Responsible for performing PM’s and work orders as well as project work.
  • Disassembly, diagnosis, repairs and re-assembly of machinery to hygienic and sanitary standards.
  • Participates in the development of a Predictive Maintenance program at Tuas.
  • Complete all necessary reports and documentation via hardcopy and computer.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in accordance to all safety and GMP policies.
  • Be able to use independent judgment and work well within a team concept.
  • Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Follow all cGMP requirements to ensure proper manufacturing environment.
  • Actively participate in the resolution and elimination of downtime issues.
  • Assist in the creation of SOP’s, checklist, and work instructions.
  • Provide training and guidance to new employees.
  • Complete all necessary transactions, reports and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment to 5S or similar standard.
  • Be able to use independent judgment and work well within a team environment.
  • Adhere to the Tuas Code of Conduct.
The experience we're looking for
  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechatronics equivalent qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Proficiency in SAP and Ms Office is a must
  • Familiar with predictive and preventative maintenance technologies
  • Experience in a nutrition industry or infant formula manufacturing environment is required.

What You Will Do
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on plant machinery and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors for machine spare parts and ensure sufficient stock of critical spares.
  • Respond promptly to machine recovery call-backs, including outside regular hours if required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance.
  • Propose and implement modifications to improve machine functionality.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Record and update daily work activities using the CMMS system.
  • Support and participate in EH&S, Quality & Continuous Improvement (CORE) activities.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • NITEC in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in the maintenance and repair of machineries.
  • Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).
  • Comfortable with hands-on work to operate with equipment, tools, and machines.
  • A good team player who possesses high initiative and energy.
  • Willing to work on rotating shift and overtime on need basis.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in TPM, PLC and automation with an Electrical license is preferred.
  • Familiar with workshop equipment such as Plasma, Vacuum furnace, CMMs, CNC machines, Welding system and NDT tools.
