Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the machines and facilities at the laundry, taking care to ensure that they are maintained, serviced & repaired for the efficient operation of the laundry workshop. Responsible for the supervision of maintenance, servicing and repair of all machines in laundry plant, recycle plant and boiler room.
Roles & Responsibilities
- To ensure availability of machines for production through preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance. Examples of machines are laundry machines, low-tension switch gears water pumps, air compressors and boiler systems and recycle plant.
- To improve the machine efficiency, safety and output quality by carrying out appropriate modification for the machinery or changing some repairing and maintenance methods and procedures.
- To perform maintenance and repair of machines and troubleshoot machine’s fault. To be on 24-hour stand-by to attend to emergency breakdowns.
- To prolong the life span of machines or expensive parts by proper regularly preventive maintenance.
- To be responsible for the safety of maintenance staff.
- To supervise the contractor to compete the job safely with high quality. And make sure they comply with prison rules and regulation.
- To coordinate with contractor to complete the assignment.
- Maintain all workshop tools and equipment in orderly manner.
- To ensure Workplace Safety & Health.
- To maximize production capacity, productivity and quality.
- To instil the right value attitude and mind set to inmate in order to change their habit, behaviour and change their life other than just train them on the technical skills.

Requirements
- Diploma in electronics, electrical or mechanical engineering, or ITC in electronics
- 2-3 years of experience in similar roles and industry
- ITC – 5 years of relevant experience
- Boiler experience in Laundry / Linen services industry preferred.
- Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, electronic, and related problems and being able to read all the above drawings
- Preferably know how to read Auto-Cad and Line Drawing
- Able to work in a fast-paced and restricted work environment
- Able to understand electrical and mechanical systems
- Boiler License Class 1 / 2 preferred.

Customer relationship management
- Responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with the customers, the site contact person and end-users presents on site, by applying the service mindset attitude.
