Job overviewThe Perse School (Singapore) is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Biology Teacher to join our expanding Senior School for the August 2026 academic year. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to establish the Science Department, initially delivering engaging lessons in Biology in Years 5 to 10, growing through to Year 11 and A Level/IB Diploma.
Ideally applicants will have the ability to teach a second scientific subject up to Key Stage 3 or beyond. The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of the Cambridge International Science Curriculum, ensuring students are well-prepared for IGCSE Biology and related examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver a rigorous and engaging Biology curriculum, in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum and The Perse School ethos.
Teach Biology across age range from year 6 through to IGCSE, A Level/IB diploma, inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.
Support students in preparing for IGCSE Biology, for first examination in May/June 2027, delivering a well-structured and challenging course.

We are seeking a suitable candidate to fill the full-time position of Youth Head Coach for Table Tennis to prepare our developmental student-athletes towards national team representation at international competitions and the Major Games (Southeast Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World Championships and Olympic Games). The Youth Head Coach will report to Technical Director/Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) for technical matters and Assistant Director Sports/SSP for operational and administrative matters.
The appointed Youth Head Coach will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the training and competition plans for student-athletes towards high performance in sports, based on long-term athlete development principles. This will include student-athletes in STTA's National Youth set-up, i.e., the School-Within-School (SWS) Programme in SSP, Junior Development Squad (JDS) and Youth Training Squad (YTS). The appointed Youth Head Coach will prepare quarterly reports on the overall performance and progress of the various teams. In addition, the appointed Youth Head Coach will conduct regular review with each national youth paddler to discuss performance progress and goals. He/She will work with the SSP General Manager, STTA Senior High Performance Manager, fellow coaches, school staff and external stakeholders to achieve the sporting goals and holistic development of the student-athletes.
The appointed Youth Head Coach will ensure that the plans utilise all available resources including relevant support services (sport science, medicine and conditioning) and travel to relevant domestic and international tournaments as required. The Youth Head Coach will also work with the General Manager to recruit suitable student-athletes, mentor the team of coaches in JDS, SWS and YTS and establish good relationships with stakeholders such as STTA's High-Performance Team. The candidate for Youth Head Coach must have experience in leading and mentoring a team of coaches.

- B.Sc or Master in Biology/Biological Sciences/Biomedical Sciences or equivalents with at least 3 to 5 years working experience
- Have extensive bench work experience in biological research in mammalian cell culture, genomic & proteomic analysis. The lab techniques require including qPCR, cDNA microarray, western blotting, ELISA assay, flow cytometry, fluorescence imaging;
- Preferably the candidate has knowledge and prior experience in clinical trial management and coordination;
- Proven publication record in international scientific peer-reviewed journals;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and uses data to generate ideas and develop solutions;
- Have thorough understanding & fundamental concepts in biology and pharmacology for experimental troubleshooting & optimization;
- Be highly motivate, independent and present strong interest in a fast-paced environment;
- Competent in Microsoft Office, bibliography software (Endnote or Mendeley), GraphPad Prism, SPSS or other analytical tools.
