Job Requirements:

• Lead a service section to provide technical support

The Technical Manager is responsible for all technical operational activities, managing the technical department as well as providing engineering & planning services for tender and support services to projects.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Overall responsible for all permanent and temporary works design and design optimization by managing the appointed consultant to ensure that project is delivered within budget
• Responsible for handling client and consultant, coordinate with consultants, client and authorities for design matters and submission.
• Oversee the shop drawings submission and issuance, planning and control delivery of design schedule, monitoring the progress
• Coordinate and support the construction and other departments within the project to fulfil design requirement

• Responsible supporting service executives for all day-to-day activities necessary to upkeep the business transactions, such as but not limited to quote preparations, PO acceptance, technical & commercial discussions etc.

• Lead coordination activities with client & OEM, for necessary communications, trouble shooting and any technical discussions.

• Responsible for leading & coordinating technical discussion for trouble shooting, STA activities and others with client and with vendors

• Responsible for up-keeping of all technical records, maintenance history, spares inventory etc. for each client.

• Responsible to prepare techno-commercial proposals required for any project.

• Communicate and build relationship with Client's contacts, procurement team and other necessary stakeholders

2) Business development Activities

• Responsible to work on business promotions, preparing promotional programs, materials and visits to clients for business promotion.

• Lead business development activities such as organizing the sales call, preparing service menu, discussing with clients and follow up.

• Discussing with MHI-GX solutions for new business activities, new service menus and get necessary approvals.

• Responsible for supporting commercial issues for after sales and project including but not limited to collection of bill, invoicing, contract negotiation, preparation of commercial proposal, taxation & Insurance, legal terms & conditions etc.

• Assist with preparing monthly reports to MHI-japan & MHIAP management on Technical Service BU.

• Assisting in developing knowledge and proving training for various technical aspects.

Requirements

• Qualification – Mechanical engineering
• Minimum 12-17 years of overall experience.
• Having 8-10 years of experience in chemical plant, maintenance work
• Minimum 5 year in design related to rotary equipment
• General understanding for maintenance activities especially on rotary equipment such as spare management, shutdown planning, trouble shooting, design and vendor coordination etc.
