Position: Locum Medical Officer (6 months’ contract)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs patient care including admission, transfer, discharge, clinic consultation, as directed by supervisor.
Clerks all new cases (i.e. taking the history, examining the patient and making a diagnosis/provisional diagnosis) in the general adult psychiatry wards and on admission of the patient into the ward.
Examines and initiates urgent treatment of violent and disturbed patients and physically ill patients.
Does night duties and outside office hours rounds when rostered on calls. This may include seeing cases in the general adult psychiatry wards or attending to calls from the wards.
Participates in the general management and care of all patients under his/her care, including the ordering of ECT and management of ECT patients.
Ensures that all investigations ordered and treatment prescribed are carried out.
Consult the senior doctor (e.g. ward consultant, specialist on call) about the clinical management of patients whenever in doubt.
Ensures that all service request forms are properly completed.
Updates and completes all medical records. The Inpatient Discharge Summary Form should be completed within 3 days of the patient’s discharge.
Obtains consent for ECT (Electro-Convulsive Therapy) and investigation procedures after explaining the operation or procedure to patient or his/her relatives. He/She who is privileged will perform ECT on patients selected for therapy.
Sees all relatives to brief them on the patient’s condition after ensuring that they are genuine relatives.
Attends all Departmental ward rounds including the combined Department or hospital’s teaching seminars, case conferences except when on active admitting duty or when attending to an urgent matter.
Requirements:
MBBS registrable with Singapore Medical Council
Must have obtained Full Registration with Singapore Medical Council
Possess at least 3 years of post housemanship working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline
Remain in active clinical practise for the immediate past 3 years

We are seeking experienced locum doctors with a strong clinical background in general practice/internal medicine, and preferably in anaesthetics to locum within the Anaesthesia Pre-admission Clinic (PAC) at Singapore General Hospital.
This is a clinic-only role and ideally the locum doctor can commit to at least 4-5 sessions a week. There are 2 available sessions:

Scope of work will include but is not necessarily limited to the following:
The use of Citrix/NHER for screening patients/documentation
Communicate with multidisciplinary specialty teams including internal medicine, physiotherapists, nutritionists, surgeons etc.
Provide a range of pre-anaesthesia counselling, including risks and questions pertaining to methods of anaesthesia, airway techniques, post-operative disposition, insertion of invasive lines etc.
Refer and follow-up patients with unoptimised medical conditions to polyclinics, General Practitioners, other specialties, dental etc.

As a Senior Executive in the CMOO/CIOO, you will work closely across CMOO and CIOO to support coordination with PRECISE’s research and clinical ecosystem in Singapore and ensure smooth execution of the work packages.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal meetings, workshops, and committees
Compile data and prepare reports to keep stakeholders aligned
Support in the project funding management, budgeting, procurement, and monitoring processes
Manage document repositories and collaborative platforms
Perform administrative and secretariat duties as needed
Work with colleagues across PRECISE and with various stakeholders (e.g. MOH, Healthcare Clusters, Synapxe, EDB, A*STAR) to support organisational objectives and foster a collaborative and productive work environment
Work on other duties that may be assigned by supervisor, with the goal of achieving the priorities of the programme
Requirements
A good honours degree in life sciences, computing science, biomedical engineering or a related field in healthcare is preferred. Those with relevant working experience in relevant field may also be considered

Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
