An experienced Naval Architect is required to conduct hull structure strength assessment and analysis, proposing methods to strengthen the structure, including load spreading and securing of project cargo.

• Prepare detailed analysis reports, structural plans, lashing calculations, stowage plans, securing plans, dunnage plans, heavy lifting plans for project cargo to be submitted to owners, charterers, shippers, shipmasters, and classification societies for approval.
• Liaise with classification societies, owners, and charterers regarding any disputes in ship strength, load spreading, securing, and provide resolutions.
• Provide engineering support to business teams and charterer teams in bidding and ship evaluation processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date work databases.

Applicants should possess a diploma in Marine Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, equivalent qualifications. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structure/Basic Design Engineer in a shipyard or marine engineering company is necessary.

• Candidates with more experience may be considered for higher-level positions.
• Hands-on experience using Autocad system or similar CAD systems to produce design drawings.
• Proficiency in Femap & Nastran structure analysis software or similar software.
• Experience in cargo lashing design, DNV's Lashcon or similar software, and familiarity with lifting and rigging design.
• Demonstrated ability to provide sound structure design work and produce realistic and executable plans.
• Proficient in using MS Office to create reports for Class/Owner's approval and presentations.
• Good knowledge of ship stability, weight control, ship loading, marine structures, and welding design.
