An experienced Naval Architect is required to conduct hull structure strength assessment and analysis, proposing methods to strengthen the structure, including load spreading and securing of project cargo.
- Prepare detailed analysis reports, structural plans, lashing calculations, stowage plans, securing plans, dunnage plans, heavy lifting plans for project cargo to be submitted to owners, charterers, shippers, shipmasters, and classification societies for approval.
- Liaise with classification societies, owners, and charterers regarding any disputes in ship strength, load spreading, securing, and provide resolutions.

The day-to-day
- Evaluate design, manufacturing, testing, and operational processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, failure analyses, and corrective actions to ensure mission safety and performance.
- Ensuring the RCCA process provides prompt resolution and robust solutions to prevent a recurrence, focusing on mistake-proofing and process improvement

Work with cross-disciplinary teams to resolve design and documentation issues. Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes, field adjustments, or client feedback. Ensure designs comply with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Create detailed 2D drawings of marine structures and systems
- Develop technical drawings from conceptual ideas and sketches
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design issues
- Update and revise drawings in response to engineering changes or client feedback
Requirements:
- Associate degree, diploma, or certificate in drafting, marine technology, naval architecture, or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms
- Experience with marine systems (hull design, piping, propulsion, etc.) is preferred
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and marine engineering practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
Working Environment:
- Office environment with occasional visits to shipyards or fabrication sites
- May involve occasional travel depending on project location
