- Orientate patients to assigned bed / facilities
- Answer patients' calls and relay patients' requests to department-in charge
- Attend to patients' basic needs e.g. toilet baths, bed sponging, serving of meals and drinks, feeding
- Conduct bedpan / urinal rounds; change patients' diapers
- Walk patients to toilet and assist them in toilets
- Monitor restless patients and ensure that they are safe and comfortable
- Clean spillages and discharges as and when required
- Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of beds, lockers and non-patient rooms e.g. store room
- Assist in inventory of linen and department items e.g. flasks, pillows, bedpans
- Tidy and ensure pantry ration supply and inform Nursing staff to order when stocks are low
- Perform any other duties assigned by the department-in-charge
Job Requirements:
- Minimum PSLE Certificate or equivalent
- Able to work in shift system (No Night/ Graveyard Shifts)

- To assist in keying daily orders into the Hospital Information System in the absence of the ward secretary.
- To provide feedback to Nursing Manager about the purchase of products and services supplied by vendors to assist in vendor evaluations.
- To assist in admitting new patients and order or cancel diets.
Requirements:
- Minimum Secondary level or Equivalent
- Able to read and write in simple English
- At least 1 year of relevant hospital experience
- Able to work staggered shift on a 6-day work week including weekends
