We are currently partnering with a leading Venture Capital firm, who are looking to hire a Finance Director into their Singapore office.
This role will lead the financial and operational functions for both the funds and the management company. As a senior member of the finance team, this role will report directly into a Partner and work closely with the firm's leadership team.
This role will be responsible for supporting the following:
- Lead internal finance team and external fund administrators to deliver accurate, timely quarterly and annual reports for all fund entities.
- Manage capital calls, distributions, performance tracking, NAV reporting, and investor queries.
- Oversee GP entity reporting, partner allocations, and carried interest calculations.
- Ensure timely MAS, US, Cayman, FATCA, CRS, and other regulatory filings.
- Manage GST filings in-house and coordinate with tax agents on Singapore/US filings for fund entities and LPs.
- Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and enhance compliance practices.
- Chair the internal compliance board, oversee Fund Management Company (FMC), fund, and portfolio company compliance (including AML), and maintain the Compliance Manual with external advisors' input.
- Track investment schedules and lead quarterly valuation processes with internal teams, external valuers, and auditors.
- Review portfolio companies' financials, monitor compliance, and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Partner with the investment team on funding and legal document review, enforcing accounting-related SOPs.
- Oversee FMC accounting operations, budgets, payments, and MAS VCFM licence compliance.
- Support upcoming fund launches, including structuring, entity setup, documentation, service provider coordination, and investor onboarding.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- 10+ years' experience, ideally a mix of public accounting and investment management - venture capital exposure a plus.
- Proven people leader who can drive results, manage competing priorities, and deliver on time.
- End-to-end fund cycle experience (from formation and administration to exits) a plus.

- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Understanding of sales fundamentals, pricing, promotion, and trade terms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence sales organization decisions.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial compliance.
