The CAD Operator is responsible for preparing and revising civil engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project and authority requirements.
(B) Essential Job Functions:
The CAD Operator is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
- Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings (e.g., site plans, roadworks, drainage, structural layouts) from sketches, notes, or specifications.
- Update and revise drawings based on engineers' or consultants' instructions.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards, LTA/BCA requirements, and drafting guidelines.
- Maintain and organize CAD files and drawing records.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve design and drafting issues.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings for project handover.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior.
- Diploma / NITEC in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of CAD drafting experience with architectural and structural trades in the building construction industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
- Experience in MRT/LTA projects is a definite advantage.
