Responsibilities
To assist and report to Senior Engineer and Head Engineer to ensure smooth running of daily engineering operations.
To assist in set up, configure, operate and maintain a wide variety of electrical and electronic equipment.
To assist in troubleshooting equipment and able to communicate and report to the Engineers and manufacturer for problem solving.
To assist in cleaning and packing, sending equipment which may include loading / unloading trucks, verifying and acknowledging delivery orders, and other essential paperwork for deliveries to customers or shipping companies.
To assist in checking equipment from return shipment to ensure that, equipment return matches the packing list provided. Identify missing items and prepare discrepancy report.
To identify the faulty equipment from returned shipment, with engineers support, prepare a fault report and communicate with General manager and head office for further action.
To Clean and store stock according to correct location.
To perform the works with professional skill, due care and diligence to the best of its ability, and in accordance with highest industry standards and practices for works.
To undertake project work with professional skill, due care and diligence to the best of its ability, and in accordance with highest industry standards and practices for works, including the setting-up, installation, maintenance and dismantling of the equipment.
To assist engineers in keeping the equipment updated with new manufacturers software.
To be responsible and understand the required safety and technical standards when dealing with the equipment and always practice with minimum disruption to operational activities.
To be willing to learn the new technologies used by NEP Singapore that has not been experienced or worked before.
To work safely at all times, complying with statutory safety requirements from NEP Singapore Health and Safety Policies.
To be flexible with work time and travel.
Any other ad-hoc duties.
Job Requirements
Knowledgeable about equipment, cables and power used in outdoor broadcasting.
Understanding how the company’s Engineering Department and Warehouse Team work together to prepare the kits and equipment required for each job/project.
Able to carry out physical tasks due to the nature of job.
Able to travel overseas for regional and international projects.
Proficient in English language communication.

To assist Engineering Team (both at Base and on Project site) in providing technical support services which include but not limiting to the following:
The Challenges
To be competent to set up, configure, operate and maintain a wide variety of electronic equipment involved in outside broadcasting production, including, but not limited to HD Video, UHD Video, Audio and Communication Equipment.
To be competent in the use of Radio Frequency Equipment and antenna systems that interface with various broadcast systems for signals delivery.
To be able to troubleshoot broadcasting equipment and identify fault to a system level and able to communicate and report to the office and manufacturer for problem solving.
To undertake project work from site surveys to delivering pin a professional and timely manner.
Ensure all equipment is updated with the manufacturer's latest software releases.
To be responsible for maintaining technical equipment and systems to the required safety and technical standards with minimum disruption to operational activities.
Prepare Engineering Book for each project with relevant technical information and ensure relevant parties receive it before the project.
Ensure that the broadcast equipment and systems are running at the Project site.
In the absence of Unit Manager, liaise with client and ensure that the client's needs are taken care of and communicate them with the Support Team
Conduct testing of video equipment after the project. Report any faults which were not addressed onsite using the Fault Report Form.
Test the video equipment which was reported as faulty onsite.
Support Unit Manager in preparation of technical reports and crew reports of the project.
To be willing to learn and practice the new technologies used by company that have not been experienced or worked with before.
To be able to direct, instruct and manage assistant engineers and possible system integrators on projects.
To work safely at all times, complying with statutory safety requirements on all Health and Safety Policies.
To be able to draft technical reports of field work.
To be competent in reading and designing of the engineering workflow.
Prepare technical documents for the preparation of projects and amend as necessary throughout the life of the project
Attend technical meetings for the projects when is necessary.
To be flexible with work time and travel.
What It Takes
Minimum of 5 years experience of working in broadcast television. Preferably with direct experience of working in an Outside Broadcast environment.
Familiar with the operation and programming of Routers, Switchers, Tally Systems, Multiviewers, etc
Familiar with the setup and integration of cameras, lenses, ccus etc.
Experience with EVS equipment including LSM, X-File, X-Hub, IP Director
Relevant engineering qualifications or a proven track record
An understanding of radio, television, and the associated transmission and carrier systems.
Understanding of computers, servers, IT systems and networks.
A keen interest in broadcast technology, its development and application in the region.
Knowledge of Cisco Switches and IP technology an advantage

Overview
The position requires engineer to carry out tasks related to the support of broadcast and broadcast IT related equipment and systems, including activities such as manning of support hotline, system diagnosis, remediation and monitoring, system administration, patching and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities

Assess system vulnerabilities and provide guidance, remediate and mitigate any reliability and security risks

Evaluate and recommend new broadcast IT equipment and system.
Support project implementation of broadcast IT system and infrastructures including the support in drafting of technical specifications and costings documentations.

Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security or equivalent. CCNA, Certification in Information Technology networking field is an advantage.
Microsoft certifications such as MCSA preferred
Project management experience preferred.
Relevant work experience (0-3 years) in IT, Broadcast or Media Production related field preferred.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Audio Video Support Onsite Engineer to join our team and serve as an extension of the Customer's Video Network Operations Center (VNOC). The successful candidate will perform a range of technical, operational, and customer service tasks to ensure seamless AV/VC system operations and support during events and daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ticket Management: Create, update, and close tickets in the ITSM system, ensuring timely incident logging and resolution.
  • Incident & Troubleshooting: Perform initial triage of low to medium severity issues, troubleshoot AV/VC equipment, and escalate high-severity incidents to the remote VNOC.
  • Change & Release Management: Own and implement configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and software updates on AV/VC equipment, providing onsite support.
  • Problem & Vulnerability Management: Support problem resolution by providing logs, facilitating tests, and assisting with patching and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Equipment Setup & Configuration: Set up and configure AV/VC equipment for meetings, presentations, and events; ensure proper connections and functionality.
  • Technical Support & Maintenance: Address technical issues promptly, perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventive inspections, including VIP/VVIP room checks.
  • User Support & Training: Assist end-users with equipment operation, conduct basic troubleshooting, and provide user guidance.
  • Documentation & Inventory: Maintain accurate records of configurations, service logs, and equipment inventory; perform biannual physical inventory checks.
  • Quality Assurance: Test and verify AV/VC system functionality, ensuring adherence to quality standards before and after event use.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with IT and AV teams, vendors, and OEMs to resolve issues and coordinate activities.
  • Security & Safety: Follow all security protocols, handle equipment safely, and adhere to safety guidelines during installations and maintenance.
  • Vendor Liaison & RMA Support: Coordinate with vendors for technical support, hardware repairs, and equipment replacements under contracts.
  • Event Support: Provide onsite technical assistance during events, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any technical issues that arise.
  • Service & Shift Flexibility: Support operational hours from 9 AM to 6 PM or as per customer requirements, with flexibility to work shifts up to 8 hours to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in AV/VC support, onsite troubleshooting, and equipment setup.
  • Strong understanding of AV/VC hardware, software, and networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools and incident management processes is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AVIXA) are a plus.
