About the role
In this role, based in Singapore, you will report to the Global Internal Communications Director, in a team that defines how we communicate and engage with our employees across the world. You will be joining at a pivotal time as we look to refocus and grow our internal communications agenda, initiatives and integration with the business and leadership.
As Head of Internal Communications, you will help lead Dyson's Internal Comms Centre of Excellence, ensuring we are the heartbeat and glue of Dyson with clear, engaging, and effective communication across the business. You will help to shape the strategic direction, establish best practices, and partner with leaders at all levels to create a world-class employee experience. Your leadership will drive our communication standards, content, stakeholder engagement and leadership engagement, fostering a connected, informed, and inspired Dyson community.
Key responsibilities
Standards and Best Practice
- Drive the vision and standards for internal communications, acting as the centre of best practice across Dyson.
- Develop, support, and execute enterprise-level internal comms strategies, ideation, and planning.
- Serve as the go-to source for all things internal communications, operating at an enterprise and global level.
- Partner proactively with business and function leaders to embed best practices early in strategic processes.
Content and Channels
- Oversee planning, creation, review, and delivery of all internal enterprise messages, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Lead the development and execution of major comms initiatives, campaigns, and product/change communications.
- Develop and manage a balanced content strategy, blending proactive storytelling with essential reactive messaging.
- Ensure channel management excellence and optimize communication platforms for reach and impact.
Leadership and Business Partnering
- Serve as a strategic advisor and partner to senior leadership, supporting the CEO's internal comms agenda.
- Shape the voice of senior leaders, crafting compelling and authentic leadership communications for all employees.
- Design and lead communications for leadership groups and engagement forums.
- Ability to make quick decisions, is confident with senior stakeholders and has the ability manage stakeholders at all levels.
About you
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in an internal or employee communications leadership role, ideally in a global business.
- Proven track record designing and executing integrated internal comms strategies at scale.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a strong ability to influence and partner at all levels, including C-suite.
- Expertise in developing content, crafting narratives, and deploying messaging across multiple channels/platforms.
- Experience with large-scale employee engagement campaigns.
- Strong project, people, and change management skills.
- Proven track record dealing with short deadlines and working in high pressure situations to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company.
- Creative thinker who strives for continuous improvement and innovation in communications.
- Is proactive and has a 'get things done' attitude with high levels of resilience and drive, able to see the strategic big picture but also to roll sleeves up and get into the detail.
