Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies at both national and local levels across Southeast Asian countries.
- Ensure effective communication and cooperation with relevant government departments in cities where our retail stores operate.
- Public Affairs & Operational Support
- Provide day-to-day support for public affairs matters, including resolving urgent operational issues.
- Facilitate the advancement of key corporate initiatives and major projects in partnership with headquarters and local teams.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes across Southeast Asia, providing compliance guidance and risk assessments.
- Conduct in-depth Industry research on government processes, public policy, and industry-specific regulations relevant to the designer toy and retail sector.
- Indutry Engagement & ESG Initiatives
- Maintain partnerships with retail industry associations and local chambers of commerce across the region; represent the company in industry standards discussions.
- Support the implementation of ESG programs in collaboration with Southeast Asia–based organizations.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Public Administration, Law, International Relations, or related fields.
- Experience :
- 5–8 years of professional experience in government affairs, public policy, or related areas.
- Existing networks with Southeast Asian government agencies (administrative, regulatory, customs, etc.) are highly preferred.
- Experience in FMCG, retail, or chain business operations with knowledge of Southeast Asian regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
- Strong command of English as a working language; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or Thai is a plus.
- Deep understanding of Southeast Asia’s political and business landscapes, with proven cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong government relations, crisis management, and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
- Other : Interest in designer toys and consumer goods, alignment with brand values, willingness to travel frequently, and strong results orientation with resilience under pressure.
