Our client is one of Singapore’s leading A1 civil contracting firms with a strong construction portfolio in mega civil infrastructure projects and large-scale iconic building projects. In view of expansion, they are looking for multiple Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer to manage building or civil projects.
Responsibilities
Review shop drawings such as piling, structures, formwork
Provide practical construction solutions
Familiar with design coordination and authority submission process
Liaise with Professional Engineer to review and check construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements and construction sequences for all aspects of temporary and permanent works
Provide coordination with QPD/QPS and client regarding engineering proposals and submissions to carry out construction work
Liaise with sub-contractor design teams for design clearance
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
Min 5 years of relevant construction experience required
Experience in design consultancy is welcomed
Possesses design experience with precast & data center structures

Job Responsibilities:
Review and coordinate detailed civil/ structural/geotechnical design.
Execution of projects and liaison with the Client, Client’s Consultants, Contractor, and authorities.
To liaise with AC and QP(D) to ensure that all permits and applications as required by BCA are endorsed in tandem with the progress of the Works.
Assist to check on the design calculations.
Lead in the review of Contractor’s submissions required of the Consultant and coordinate with his respective QP(S) and the Contractors design teams to ensure prompt resolution of all design related issues arising from the reviews of the Temporary and Permanent Works.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Civil/ Structural/ Geotechnical Engineering or its equivalent.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Singapore.
Good exposure in the analysis and design of civil works or soil-structure interactions.
Good knowledge of the various engineering design software and analytical tools.

• Study part drawing, prepare layout according to product requirement independently.
• Complete tool design accordingly to requirement independently.
• Ensure smooth transition from product design and development to production.
• Resolve any design technical issues in a timely manner and recommend improvements on new & existing tools.
• Follow up with toolmaker on tooling during assembly and testing.
• Provide guidance to draughtswoman to finish the modification on simple tooling design.
• Any other duties as assigned by superior and / or management.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die Engineering.
• Certification in the various design software.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Tool & Die Design.
• Practical knowledge in tool design & manufacturing technology. High speed progressive tool design, forming or multi-slidedesign, machining, assembly, trouble shooting and dimension inspection.

Scope of Work

Design new mechanical features and improvements for automation robot products.

Redesign robot subunits to enhance performance, improve manufacturability, and reduce costs through DFM/DFA principles.

Prepare and release detailed part drawings and assembly drawings.

Plan and execute design validation and proof-of-concept tests, including structural, thermal, and motion performance evaluations.

Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration before finalizing designs.

Release Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for new or revised designs and coordinate implementation with relevant departments.

Manage product BOM and engineering documentation.

Assist in pre-sales activities by preparing technical documentation and addressing technical inquiries.

Support prototype development and automation projects as required.

Work with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transition of designs from prototype to mass production.

Provide technical support for product implementation, troubleshooting, and user training as needed.

Job Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.

Fresh Graduated or experience in designing complex mechanical assemblies, including BOM management and documentation.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, including simulations, FEA analysis, and engineering calculations is an advantage.

Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, precision alignment, and fine-tuning of components.

Familiarity with the machine tools industry and 6-axis robot programming is an advantage.
