Provide high-quality patient care and education in an Ambulatory Care setting. Our team is seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our Dermatology department.
About the Role:
The incumbent will provide nursing care and patient education to patients at Ambulatory Care Centres (ACC) in accordance with the departmental SOP and standards of care.
This involves coordinating with other teams at ACC to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
- Practise within own level of competence to promote safety of self and patients.
- Deliver quality and safe nursing care to patients.
- Perform triage and assist in emergencies.
- Assist doctors on clinical procedures and venepuncture.
- Perform treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Perform clinical measurements including but not limited to nebuliser, ECG, stress ECG (treadmill).
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation: Perform rescue ventilation with bag-valve-mask device and external cardiac massage.
- Ensure proper follow up on treatment plans.
- Provide information, updates, and education to patients and/or caregivers.
- Maintain proper documentation of day-to-day nursing records.
- Identify process gaps and provide solution when necessary.
- Provide guidance and mentoring of junior staffs when necessary.
- Diploma in Nursing and recognised by Singapore Nursing Board, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar job position and department.
- Has a valid BCLS&AED Cert.
- Prior experience in Dermatology settings would be an advantage.
- Able to communicate with patients from all backgrounds and has good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Able to handle IT aspects of the job.
