Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct cardiac diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), treadmill stress tests, tilt table tests, and echocardiograms.
• Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures including angiograms and cardiac catheterisations.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient data and test results.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Uphold patient safety and confidentiality at all times.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Science (Biology/Physiology) or Diploma in Medical Technology/Biotechnology.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a cardiac diagnostics or hospital setting.

Overview

Key Responsibilities
Provide clear instructions to patients and ensure their comfort and safety.

Overview
The Department of Cardiac Radiology provides the patients of NHCS with diagnostic radiological imaging services and invasive cardiology procedure imaging services. Diagnostic radiological imaging includes general radiography, mobile radiography and CT scans. The CT team provides specialised Cardiac Scans for diagnostic, pre-procedural and surgical planning. As part of the invasive cardiac angiography team, you will assist in procedures such as Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) at the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Hybrid Operating Theatre. As a radiographer in Cardiac Radiology, you might be required to perform afternoon shift work as well as be on-call for emergency cases on a rotational basis. You might also participate in patient feedback, as well as quality management initiatives and programmes.
Responsibilities
The description above outlines responsibilities related to supporting diagnostic and invasive cardiac imaging services, performing procedures in coordination with the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Hybrid Operating Theatre, and participating in shift work, on-call duties, patient feedback, and quality management initiatives.
