What the role is
The candidate will join the Analysis team of the Manpower Research & Statistics Department, which is responsible for in-depth statistical research & analysis supporting MOM's strategic outcomes. The team provides objective and rigorous assessment of the current state and trends in the labour market with a view to facilitate informed decision-making within the government and the community-at-large.
• Write reports and/or articles on analysis of local and international labour market data and trends
• Initiate studies or surveys to measure emerging trends and identify wider implications and/or gaps in the labour market from the analysis produced
• Provide advisory on the data and statistical techniques used in modelling
• Keep abreast of latest labour market movements, and to propose new ideas of presenting such analysis
What you will be working on

What we are looking for
• Preferably with background in Statistics, Economics, Business or Communication studies
• At least 2 years of working experience in statistical, business, financial, or economic research
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of statistical programming language (like SAS,R or STATA), data visualisation tools (like Tableau or PowerBI) and econometric modelling will be an advantage
