UCT is looking for a talentedQuality Inspector to join us in Singapore! Quality control inspectors make sure that products meet standards of quality and safety. Responsible for performing inspections, checks and tests for quality control for the manufacture of products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical inspection to ensure all quality aspects of the job are met exactly.
Raw materials, components, fabricated/manufactured parts & assemblies
First Piece/First Article, Receiving/incoming inspection, in-process, final inspection
Measures Complex components, assemblies and enclosures.
Generates detail inspection and nonconformance reports as necessary.
Inspection includes but is not limited to:
Check documents for accuracy and compliance to requirements
Read and interpret information from engineering drawings, travelers, specifications and other documents to generate a complete and precise inspection report/record.
Audit Quality Control process / programs to ensure compliance to standards
Inspection(s) could be internal or external (i.e. source inspections)
Interface and provide support to other departments, suppliers and customers on quality related issues as necessary
Develop inspection techniques and train Level 1 inspectors
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and database software
Basic math abilities
Must be able to read and apply production instructions, drawings, BOM schematics, and specifications in a proficient level
Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
Able to read and interpret specifications, standards and engineering drawings/Blue Prints.
Proficient in mechanical measurement techniques and workmanship standards related to machining and secondary processes such as: paint, power coat, plating, etc.
Proficient with weld symbols, call-outs, wiring and/or crimping requirements.
Experience with Precision sheet metal
Proficiency using hand held tools (micrometers, calipers, Optical Comparator and other measuring and test equipment.
Able to proficiently operate CMM’s and perform basic “CMM” measurements
Preferably 2-5 years working in machine shop, assembly clean rooms. Semiconductor and/or similar industry
Educational/Certification Requirement:
High School Diploma/equivalent
Some technician coursework/AA degree preferred, welding and/or system integration in a high mix, low volume semiconductor manufacturing environment is a plus

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure correct shipment from forwarder prior acceptance.

- Work in backup capacity within the team by arrangement with the Manager – Quality

- Perform pick, pack and process shipment orders through the point of picking to dispatch with appropriate paperwork, when necessary.
- Report any deterioration in Quality performance and recommend mitigation actions
- Promote quality awareness throughout the organization
- Assist the Manager to manage a system to monitor, investigate and evaluate customer's complaints and warranties issues in the operations
- Assist in the development of new processes together with the appropriate departments
Job Requirements
- Minimum Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education N level or equivalent with technical training preferred, preferably with a minimum Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 12 months of experience in an Airbus Production environment or an equivalent level from a different production/repair organization confirmed by POA Compliance Team is required
- Technically knowledgeable and capable of grasping detailed engineering and quality concepts
- Ability to understand and read blueprints, schematics & Component Maintenance Manuals
- Be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and ability to read and understand the applicable procedural documentation and regulation

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of construction materials, processes, and
workmanship throughout a project. This role involves QC document developing; monitoring site quality
control activities; monitoring compliance with standards; implementing quality control and inspection to
deliver projects that meet contract, client specifications, international standards and Singapore
regulatory requirements. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, durable, and safe civil projects
while maintaining efficiency and minimizing risks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take part in review QC procedures as per the required by project Quality Assurance Plan.
2. Developing or review QC report templates, checklists as per ITPs.
3. Developing quality training materials as per project quality requirements, and technical
specifications. Conduct quality training to subcontractors' QC inspectors and site supervisors.
4. Cover Site monitoring and site inspections for civil works as per ITPs.
5. Push Sub-cons to submit QC reports / checklists in time and get it signed off by all the parties
after inspection are done.
6. Take part in project internal quality audits in accordance with project audit procedure to ensure
compliance with company ISO 9001 QMS, Singapore regulatory requirements. Identify non-
conformities and work with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
7. Take part in project external quality audits to subcontractors in accordance with project audit
procedure to ensure compliance with subcontract, project specifications, codes, and Singapore
regulatory requirements. Identify non-conformities and work with project teams to implement

8. Issue Site Observation Reports (SORs) and NCRs, follow up until it is closed.
9. Regularly monitor project KPIs, ensure out-of-target KPIs are identified and raised to applicable
subcontractors for root cause analysis, at the meantime, report to QAQC manager.
10. Coordinate with discipline engineers, subcontractors, the client, third party inspectors to ensure
project quality requirements are met.
11. Take part in preparing mechanical completion documents before commissioning.
12. Take part in preparing Turn-over Package (TOP) at project ending stage.

- Combination of office and on-site work.
- Working overtime may be required, and working at a faster pace.

- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
