List of Qualifications:

About the Position
As a member of the APAC Solutions team, the Senior Energy Market Analyst will be responsible for engaging directly with both potential and existing clients to increase sales and deliver technical work. The successful candidate will help drive Energy Exemplar’s growth in markets across the APAC region, by working with the sales team to identifying relevant customer use cases and assist in the development of the go to market strategy. The Senior Energy Market Analyst will act as an energy markets subject matter expert, responsible for thought leadership towards customers. They will seek to understand the customers challenges, identify solutions within the Energy Exemplar product offerings, and articulate the value proposition within the marketplace. The role has a heavy modelling focus.
The successful candidate will be expected to heavily contribute to the building of energy market models for those regions, using Energy Exemplar’s flagship PLEXOS software tool (the role does not require programming/software development). The candidate should have a good understanding of fundamental market price drivers, and ideally have experience in stochastic optimization techniques.
This Senior Energy Market Analyst works in close collaboration with a team of technical subject matter experts. The position is supported by strong training, coaching, and mentoring and provides opportunity for professional growth and career advancement, as well as international travel to customer sites. Successful candidates will have a strong background in modelling, and good customer facing skills; as well as being outgoing, professional, driven, and able to multi-task in a dynamic and often changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical discussions and provide strategic modeling insights to clients.
- Develop and validate complex optimization models tailored to customer needs.
- Guide junior analysts and provide mentorship in modeling best practices.
- Conduct in-depth research on policy impacts, market developments, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities: Partner with BD teams to support evaluations from first contact to deal closure Analyze APAC markets and contribute to business case development for new assets Conduct market research (clinical, regulatory, reimbursement, commercial) Engage with KOLs and HCPs for primary insights Collaborate across internal teams to validate strategies and market pathways Identify emerging trends and propose BD opportunities Deliver crisp, insightful analysis to inform decisions Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in life sciences, medicine, pharma, or similar (Post-grad a plus!) 5 years in Pharma/Biotech, Healthcare Consulting, Financial Analysis, or BD APAC market knowledge (esp. pricing & reimbursement) preferred Rare disease and/or oncology experience – a bonus Fluent English (Mandarin is a plus) Skills We Love: Strategic and analytical thinker Excellent communicator & relationship builder Agile and comfortable with change Strong commercial acumen and ethical mindset Confident navigating complexity across markets, brands, and stakeholders Collaborative with a bias for action Globally minded – flexible across time zones Why Join Us?
