Job Description

Support the implementation and execution of the Infection Prevention and Control Initiatives, including but not limited to the following:

  • Identifies, investigates and reports healthcare facility onset infections, outbreaks, clusters and risk of infection among patients, staff and equipment through ongoing surveillance and rounds
  • Provides advice on infection prevention and control related matters in accordance to hospital policies and procedures
  • Collects data and maintains records for infection prevention and control related surveillance and clinical incident
  • Organizes and undertakes audits of assigned wards to ensure that infection prevention and control related procedures are being carried out in accordance with hospital policies
  • Deliver infection prevention and control training to patients and staff

Requirements

  • Possess Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) certification
  • Minimum Diploma in Nursing with 2 years' relevant clinical practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Formal infection prevention and control training or appointment as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse preferred

Set up and lead the secretariat functions for the National Healthcare Epidemiology (NHCE) Committee, coordinating strategic initiatives, facilitating policy development, and managing administrative operations to strengthen Singapore's national healthcare epidemiology framework.

  • Minimally tertiary qualifications from recognised discipline, preferably in nursing, medical, pharmacy and other healthcare fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing documents and reports will be considered a significant advantage for this role.
  • Sharp thinker: Analyses problems, makes sound decisions under pressure.
  • Communicator: Connects with diverse stakeholders, delivers complex information clearly.
  • Self-starter: Takes initiative, owns projects, works independently.
