We are seeking an Electrical Installation Supervisor with a strong background in electrical engineering to oversee the installation of transmission equipment at client substations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations (WSH Act) and in-house standards during installation activities.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings to discuss work activities and risk mitigation strategies.
• Review method statements, safe work procedures, and risk assessments prior to work commencement.
• Verify workers' safety credentials and enforce compliance with safety protocols.
• Monitor and document work progress, safety observations, and incidents via digital platforms.
• Liaise with contractors, project officers, and internal stakeholders on technical and safety issues.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant site supervision experience in electrical, substation, or transmission projects.
• Familiarity with electrical installation standards and construction safety practices.
• Valid WSH Supervision certifications (e.g., WSQ Supervise Construction Work in WSH).
• Able to work on shift, weekends, nights, and public holidays as required.
• Able to travel across multiple worksites.
• Strong reporting, observation, and communication skills.

Job Description

• Supervise the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in the tunnel, including:
  
  Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs)
  
  Power distribution (LV/HV systems)
  
  Lighting systems
  
  Ventilation systems
  
  Fire detection and suppression systems
  
  Dewatering pumps and drainage systems
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections, quality checks, and safety audits.
• Lead the testing and commissioning of electrical systems and ensure all documentation is completed.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes and tunnel safety regulations.
• Maintain and update electrical logs, reports, and inventory of materials and tools.
• Provide technical support to resolve issues on-site and recommend corrective actions.
• Train and supervise electrical technicians and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 year of experience in tunnelling.
• Experience with TBMs, tunnel infrastructure systems, and temporary site power setups.
• Can work Monday to Saturday, 12 shifts
• Must be able to perform day or night shifts underground on the TBM (including weekends and public holidays)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in challenging underground environments.

As a Maintenance Technician, you are requiring updating, before, progressing and after completion of work at site.

Assist & support project site operations and ensure timely completion of electrical work activities.

Awareness in electrical hazards & safety knowledge

Proactive routine services, repairs, replace of spares, consumable materials, items and components

to all systems and equipment to ensure that they are operational.

Perform daily operational activities which includes attending to customers' enquiries, needs and complaints.

Inspect and maintain site electrical equipment.

Documented all scheduled routine findings and rectification.

Attend to all work orders issued by the operations and management.

Liaising and co-ordinating with site personnel, third party and external contractor.

4 off days monthly, rest days depend on schedule. able to work long hours and late in evenings and weekends

Background
The Electrical Supervisor will exhibit exemplary safety and supervisory skills in all matters pertaining to electrical maintenance works on and pertinent to the vessel. They are responsible for ensuring its subordinates are competent to carry out their allotted tasks and confirming and clarifying the status of electrical personnel, (whether CEP or LAEP or LEP)

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience
After recruitment the Electrical Supervisor will be authorized to the appropriate level by the O &M Contractor Electrical Assessor or Senior Asset Electrical Engineer.
Qualified to at least HNC / HND, or NVQ Level 3 or recognized equivalent in Electrical Maintenance Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred including 3 years offshore petrochemical experience desired.
3 years’ experience as Supervisor with prior Senior Authorized position.
Excellent practical knowledge of PTW, Electrical Isolation Standards, Risk Assessment, Power Management System, Generation on LV.
COMP-EX Certified.
Preferred courses achieved: HV Protection Relays and HVLV Switching.
Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
