Job Description
Our team, in Singapore, has a position available for a Journeyman Technician to support shipboard networks. This position will support the sustainment and modernization of Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Integration Shipboard Networking System (ISNS), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) networks, and others. This position will work closely with government and civilian management teams for the area to coordinate tasking, ship visits, and priorities as the pertain to the SPAWAR-fielded tactical networks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Other aspects of the job include, but are not limited to:
- Perform a wide range of tasks, such as system installations, system sustainment and upgrades, distance support, configuration management enforcement, and emergent Casualty Report (CASREP) support as needed to maintain readiness of servers, networking devices, workstations, storage devices, and other peripheral equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis when issues are encountered and recommend permanent configuration changes to the shipboard networks to support MSC’s mission
- Coordinate support with StratasCorp Technician Dispatcher team, shipboard crews, external contractors and/or vendors, as needed to troubleshoot intra-system issues and to assist with system integration design development
- Interface with and direct MSC customers in the proper approach to maintaining shipboard networks and associated equipment
- Perform administrative tasks, such as attending technical meetings, reporting status and progress, and preparing and submitting data to be used in reports and data calls
Job Requirements
- Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01M, and be able to get appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
- Must have 5 years or more of progressive IT experience in an enterprise-scale environment, with SME-level knowledge of CANES; additional knowledge and experience desired in some or all of the following areas: ADNS, CENTRIXS, ISNS, SCI networks, Windows Server administration, Cisco networking device administration
- May be required to travel to Chesapeake, VA at beginning of assignment for hands-on training with shipboard technicians
- Must be able to work overtime as required to meet ship’s schedules
- Must be able to take ship rides if needed for critical work efforts
- Must be able to drive a car to destinations as needed

Required Skills and Experience- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in international trade, business administration, law, or a related field.
- At least 10+ years of international trade experience building and implementing Trade Compliance programs, with a significant portion of that experience in a managerial or senior role within the APAC region.
- Extensive knowledge of global trade compliance regulations, including import/export laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements specific to the APAC region.
