• To assist dental professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring that every patient receives a first-class experience.
• Prepare treatment rooms by stocking dental materials, maintaining equipment, and adhering to strict hygiene standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including the sterilization of instruments, to minimize risks and promote a healthy workspace.
• Support patient registration, appointment booking, cashiering, and explaining treatments to patients in a clear and concise manner.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations when handling dental instruments and equipment.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by dental professionals or management to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
• Assist with administrative duties as required by the clinic management.

Dental Support Role

Location: Queenstown

Duration: Six months (until March 2026)

Working hours:

Monday to Friday,

8:00AM – 5:30PM and
8:30AM – 6:00PM

Job scope:

• Assist dentist during dental procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain patient comfort and flow.
• Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and inventory management.

Requirements:

• Minimum A-Level or NITEC in Dental Assistance/Diploma in Dentistry.
• Experience in healthcare or certified in Dental Assisting preferred.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team at Kim's Dental Clinic. This full-time position is crucial in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting with a variety of dental procedures.

What you'll be doing

1. Ensure high standard of infection control and other quality control measures

2. Assist in preparing, sterilising of dental instruments and environment pre and post procedures

3. Liaise closely with patients and build good rapport with patients

4. Able to work in one location and multiple locations in future

5. Assist dentist in their day to day work

6. Book appointments and discharge patients

7. 44 hours/week including weekends and nights

What we're looking for

1. Preferably NITEC in Dental Assisting or Certificate in Health Care Assistance Course

2. Prefer qualification at least GCE 'N' Level or equivalent

3. We welcome those without prior experience

4. Fluency in both spoken and written English

5. Proficiency in Chinese will receive extra consideration

• Complies with work safety regulations in the handling of the dental instruments and equipment
• Perform any other dental related duties under the supervision of Oral Health Therapist / Dentist and Clinic Manager
• Assist in ad hoc administrative works assigned by Director / Clinic Manager
