Value Engineering Consultant

We have an opportunity for a Value Engineering Consultant to join our Value Engineering Team, reporting to the Director of Value Engineering. In this pivotal role on the Infoblox Value Program team, you are a critical bridge between our solutions and their quantifiable impact on our customers' businesses. You will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding prospects and customers through the journey of defining, projecting, and realizing the value of our networking and security solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning our technology with our customers' business challenges and strategic goals.

Be a Contributor — What You'll Do

  • Needs Discovery, Analysis, and Information Gathering: Engage with prospects and customers to gain a deep understanding of their business challenges, pain points, and future objectives. Summarize findings in the form of an overall business case for change (Why Change? Why Infoblox? Why Now?)
  • Identify areas where Infoblox solutions can drive improvements in efficiency, risk mitigation, and cost savings, while enabling business growth and agility: Collect information relevant to our value models that can be used for developing projections; information could come from various sources (directly from the prospect/customer; from Infoblox partners; from Infoblox sales teams; 3rd party research relevant to the specific prospect/customer or their industry)
  • Value Quantification : Collaborate with clients to build comprehensive business value models. Analyze potential cost savings, productivity gains, and risk mitigation to quantify the return on investment (ROI) our solutions can deliver
  • Develop compelling presentations and other deliverables: Deliver impactful presentations that showcase the business case for change and the quantified value proposition of our solutions
  • Build trusted Client Relationships: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Serve as their go-to expert with respect to Infoblox value, throughout the sales cycle and beyond, leading to successful onboarding and future value realization. · Sales Enablement: Work with sales teams to provide expertise concerning value-based deal strategy and selling approaches. Equip them with the tools and knowledge to effectively position the business value of our solutions. Ideally, increase their self-sufficiency to create low complexity value models on their own, without consultant assistance
  • Day-to-Day engagement with Sales Teams : Participate in team calls, forecast calls, QBRs, etc. Proactively suggest value-based deal strategies, "jump in" on deal pursuits without being directly asked to get involved, etc. Become an essential, go-to resource for the regional teams for critical or prioritized opportunities
  • Market Intelligence : Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Contribute insights to inform product development and marketing strategies
  • Contribute to the overall Value Program by helping to improve our models; discovering value proof-points within accounts; identifying/uncovering new or unique value drivers that may be relevant to other prospects or customers
  • Collaborate with other teams in Infoblox (e.g., marketing, product development, channel, etc.) to enhance our sales motions with added emphasis on customer value

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • Experience in a Value Consulting / Value Engineering role with a B2B Enterprise SaaS company. Experience in a value role in a Networking, Security, or Cloud Computing company is a plus
  • Experience with one or more tools used to model and communicate value to prospects and customers. DecisionLink / ValueCloud is a plus
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with and/or other enterprise Sales Tools
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of networking, security, and cloud technologies. Ability to translate technical jargon into clear business language and talk with businesspeople about the financial benefits of technical solutions
  • Business Acumen: Sharp understanding of business processes and financial metrics. Ability to connect technical solutions to tangible business outcomes and quantifiable value
  • Consultative Approach: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Proven track record of building rapport, active listening, and guiding clients towards optimal solutions
  • Sales Savviness: Experience working in a sales, customer success, consulting, or other customer-facing role. Comfortable articulating value propositions and handling objections; comfortable interacting with various roles on a "buying team" (Coach; Champion; Influencer; Economic Buyer) and multiple levels in the organization (C-Level; VP; Director; Manager; Technical SME) as well as various supporting business functions (Vendor Management; Procurement; Purchasing; Finance)
  • Experience with at least one common sales methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC)
  • Passion for Learning: A drive to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving IT landscape (especially Networking, Security, and Cloud Computing). Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Forecasts and communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. Provides input to outsourcing decisions by performing make versus buy analysis. Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
+ Leads Materials Core Team and coordinates product development process deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control. Collaborates with engineering team to interpret engineering requirements.
+ With limited/ no supervision, creates, releases and updates new project materials strategy.
+ Sourcing: Assists in supplier price and delivery negotiations; under direct supervision may negotiate contracts as necessary. Utilizes the preferred supplier selection and assessment process when selecting suppliers. Completes supplier risk assessment on critical and unique parts. Monitors supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost).
+ Materials: Coordinates activities around source selection, specification creation and price negotiation with appropriate team members.
+ Executes commercialization (transition) materials plan).
+ Manages materials change control process. Meets cost objectives and resolves quality issues. Generates and publishes Key Process Indicators . Tracks total landed costs targets.
+ Works with engineering to identify preliminary critical parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements. Assists and/ or leads in developing supplier and commodity road maps to engineering. Utilizes value analysis on build-to-print components in support of Should Cost analysis.
+ Actively mediates and partners with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues for assigned product groups. Escalate issues to Commodity Business Managers when necessary.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support Lead Project Manager in project management for industrial park and industrial asset developments in the South-east Asian Region to ensure works are completed within budget, on schedule and of good quality
  • Manage the tender process, along with the Procurement Management Team, from pre-qualification of contractors and consultants, preparation of technical tender documents, to tender clarifications and evaluation.
  • Support the Engineering Lead in reviewing consultant designs, drawings and specifications so as to achieve optimum design and cost.
  • Conduct technical investigations for new Industrial parks including preliminary infrastructure concept, assessment of development constraints and issues.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders including internal Management, project director, consultants, and contractors for matters that arise throughout the development process.
  • Propose recommendations and implement solutions for all civil and structural (C&S) related matters.
  • Assist to maintain good records of technical documents for internal audit from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with a minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in C&S design and project management works.
  • Familiar with design, Code of Practices, Building and Fire Safety Regulations and Green Building & Sustainability Design e.g. EDGE, LEED.
  • Prior experience in a consultancy firm and/ or design experience in industrial parks and industrial building assets preferred; experience in projects in the South-east Asian Region is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills is required to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and able to work well independently and in teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and other Project Management or Quality Management systems
    Willing to travel when business need arises
