As an Underwriting Associate in the Commercial Distribution Division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to support revenue growth and to achieve customer satisfaction. This includes servicing support to grow new customers, to retain existing customers and to drive transformation process in line with the Company's objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Assisting Division Head to achieve gross underwriting premium and profit set by the Company.

About the Role
The Business Services team in Corporate Solutions Operations is seeking an open-minded Underwriting Associate with a can-do spirit to be based in Singapore. This role primarily supports the Casualty/FinPro portfolio and involves frequent interaction and coordination with underwriters and other internal and external departments, both locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing policy documentation.
- Setting up and finalizing policies in various systems (underwriting, pricing, invoicing, etc.), ensuring data accuracy.
- Supporting the Underwriting team with renewal preparation (e.g., deal analysis of renewal accounts) and endorsement triaging and preparation.
- Handling closings and contract changes.
- Creating and maintaining records electronically, as required, in accordance with established guidelines and processes.
- Managing basic underwriting tasks, renewals, quotes, and endorsements, including broker engagement when necessary.
- Maintaining regular contact with brokers and customers, and attending meetings as needed.
- Providing support in premium handling, monitoring, and follow-up.
- Collaborating with outsourced providers to resolve queries and issues.
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
- Updating and processing changes in relevant tools, systems, and documents as needed.
- Participating in and leading small projects, as required.
About the Team

- Degree holder in any discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years of insurance experience, ideally with exposure to underwriting.
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate recommendations effectively.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data following established processes.
- A dedicated team player who demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
- Solutions- and results-oriented, with good multitasking abilities.
