What the role is

Undertake the function of Economist in the Research & Statistics department (RSD) to (i) work with business users to understand and address data and analysis requirements, (ii) undertake economic analysis to transform data into insights and knowledge for policymaking, and (iii) support the conduct of surveys.

  • Work with business users within MPA to understand their needs and challenges, scope problems and develop economics-related use cases.

This chatbot will be built using a cloud-based machine learning platform with a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework, incorporating effective prompting techniques to enhance response quality and aims to be a more effective and accurate chatbot relative to existing ones
To facilitate user interaction, the intern will design, develop, and deploy a web-based user interface for the chatbot, integrating it with the machine learning platform through API calls.
