What the role is
Undertake the function of Economist in the Research & Statistics department (RSD) to (i) work with business users to understand and address data and analysis requirements, (ii) undertake economic analysis to transform data into insights and knowledge for policymaking, and (iii) support the conduct of surveys.
What you will be working on
- Work with business users within MPA to understand their needs and challenges, scope problems and develop economics-related use cases.
Transform data into insights and data solutions by- ing qualitative and quantitative analyses, econometric modelling, and forecasting techniques. - Coordinate research and analysis by tapping on various data sources (both unstructured and structured). Employ effective use of appropriate software and programming to clean, wrangle and organise data into clear and appropriate business commentary for publications and action by user divisions.

To facilitate user interaction, the intern will design, develop, and deploy a web-based user interface for the chatbot, integrating it with the machine learning platform through API calls.
