The KM Integration & Energy Department is responsible for deliveries of EIT system solutions (Electrical, Telecom & E-House) to the O&G and Offshore market, serving the yards and ship owners.
Under direction of Department & working with Project Team of Kongsberg Maritime Pte Ltd, Telecom Engineer is responsible for the detailed engineering design of Telecom Packages and ensures that the design is in compliance to the client's specifications and international standards and codes. Telecom Engineer is expected to support Lead Engineer for the assigned Projects.

What you will be doing
- Responsible for the engineering works of Telecom Systems commonly used in Marine & Oil & Gas sector. Telecom Systems included such as WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi network, PA/GA, CCTV, PABX, IPTV, TVRO, VSAT, Environmental Monitoring, GMDSS, UHF, VHF, RACONS, Radar & Navigation System, etc.
- Prepare RFQ, and Technical Bid Evaluation when required.
- Prepare Functional Design Specification for Telecom Systems.
- Prepare TQ, MTO, Equipment List and Cable Schedule.
- Prepare drawings (in AutoCAD) such as Cable Block Diagram, Layout Drawings, Termination Drawings.
- Conversant with class society guidelines, international codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, LLYODS & ABS.
- An understanding and working knowledge of the ATEX /IEC Ex Directives, and the installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
- Able to multi-task and work on two or more Projects at the same time.
- 20% local and overseas travelling required for visits to yard for meetings, equipment installation support & commissioning work.
- Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time
