The Role:
Our Risk team is looking for an exceptionally talented individual, who will be based in Singapore, to join the team as a Risk Analyst. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, with guidance from the team; be eager and enthusiastic and be resourceful in completing all projects; and deliver results; while being detailed oriented. In the role, you would be expected to:
Provide local support for risk management needs in Asia; must be able to make independent decisions
Monitor and understand quantitative strategies and have the technical skills to develop real-time monitoring and decision analysis tools and summary/exception reports
Work with other Risk managers and personnel to enhance the firm-wide risk management framework
Maintain and monitor database of strategy and product risk and performance statistics
Enforce trader risk guidelines and capital allocation guidelines
Make suggestions about statistical validity of models and live trading strategies
Conduct independent research on new risk management techniques
Communicate risk insights to portfolio managers and other teams
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or other quantitative field from a leading university
Understanding of statistics and financial modelling
Be competent in Python, SQL and working knowledge of Linux
Knowledge of Tableau or other visualization platforms a plus
Previous experience in risk management or portfolio management a plus

role is responsible for providing assistance to BDO Singapore’s Risk Head in the following areas:
Implementation of the risk management framework in the Branch and ensures alignment of the relevant risk management policies and guidelines with Head Office (HO).
Identification, measurement, quantification, control, and reporting of the major risks of the Branch, which include but are not limited to, credit, market and liquidity, and operational risks.
Ensuring compliance with the policies and guidelines of the Bank and regulators, as it relates to risk management and data privacy ordinance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts credit evaluation on assigned accounts with regard to new exposures of the Branch and performs annual review of existing facilities.
Ensures all market and liquidity risk exposures are within approved limits, and all excesses/deviations are flagged and reported in accordance with established policies/guidelines.
Monitors the credit exposure of the Branch by country risk, industry concentration, rating profile, large exposures and asset quality.
Prepares the expected credit loss for loans & investments, and credit stress testing, in coordination with Head Office.
Assist in the review of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Key Risk Indicators (KRI) of the Business Units (BU) and Support Units (SU).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree graduate, preferably Business-course related.
