PURPOSE
As a Graduate, Borders application Specialist you will assist the Service Operations team to ensure service delivery quality is maintained through direct assistance in implementing and improving working processes and procedures.
You will be accountable for performing all Service Operations activities according to SITA standards and procedures maximizing customer satisfaction by the delivery of first-class support activities.
Reporting to the Manager, Service Operations you will be a part of the Services & Infrastructure Operations team supporting to SITA's customers in accordance with the terms of the customer contract and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

What You Will Do
- Carry out proactive fault monitoring and incident management support to the highest standards and co-ordinate the resolution with the appropriate resolver groups.
- Ensure shortest restoral times possible, initiating the timely escalations to specialized resolver groups inside and outside SITA, according to the customer contracts, SLAs and monitoring requirements.
- Proactively detect problems related to service and infrastructure operations and delivery services, conduct diagnostics and provide service request ownership to ensure resolution of customer problems.
- Report and escalate all observed problems to proper SITA operational escalation points.
- Carry out preventive and proactive maintenance of equipment and monitoring of systems and services in accordance with agreed schedules and customer expectations.
EXPERIENCE:
- University Degree in Computer Engineering/Systems Engineering/Information Systems
- Basic knowledge in Linux operating systems
- Keen interest in application support, middleware (IBM MQ), cloud administration, database and scripting
- Good communication skills, fluent in English
- Must be a team player
- Must obtain your degree by 2024/2025
- No more than 12 months relevant post graduate experience, excluding undergraduate placement/ internship experience
- Participate in structured rotations allowing you great exposure to different teams and technologies.
- Get assigned to a Buddy and a Mentor that will guide you throughout your Graduate experience.
- 12-month contractual assignment with a high possibility of conversion.
- Each month you are also expected to work on 1xSat and 1xSun (not every weekend). For each Sat or Sun that you are working, you will be compensated with an Off day on either Monday or Friday
- Monthly shift allowance will also be provided on top of your basic salary and an end of contract bonus.

Job Description
- Assist and support Project Managers in the execution of projects as part of the project team
- Provide technical support in various stages of project, including conceptual design, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions, contract administration, site meetings, etc
- Prepare schematic design, layout, calculations, technical reports and specifications, etc
- Liaise with external consultant teams, architects, contractors and suppliers to resolve project issues
- Supervise and review the work of Assistant Engineers, Designers and/or Drafters in the project team
- Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues and improvement on design standards
- Develop technical knowledge and competency
- Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering)
- No work experience required.
- Preferably Entry Level specialized in Engineering - Civil and Structural or equivalent.
