We are seeking a highly skilled L2 Network Engineer to support, maintain, and optimize our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting escalated incidents, implementing network changes, and ensuring high availability and security across all network services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 (L2) technical support for network incidents, escalations, and service requests in line with SLAs.

Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Network Infrastructure Engineerwith 2–5 years of experience to support SpeQtral's Quantum Network programmes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures. This hybrid role spans both network security engineering and infrastructure/system implementation, ideal for candidates who enjoy working across networking, servers, and cloud environments. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable quantum network.
Key Responsibilities
Quantum Programme Support:
- Understand customers' technical requirements to provide technical support for fibre QKD network deployment between sites.
- To be able to implement the QKD infrastructure network design, which includes server provisioning, configuring virtualised environments (e.g. using Proxmox), network configuration as well as installation and configuration of fibre QKD systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance and checks to QKD systems
- Investigate first line support calls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity issues for projects that had been set up.
- Liaise with customers and principal on escalated incidents
- Ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolution of incidents and requests.
