The Network Engineer is responsible for providing innovative network solutions and technical support to customers by analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure and application components. The incumbent performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets the satisfaction of the Company and end users. The incumbent also provides direction, information and recommendations on network configurations and installations.
- Prepare for the commission, de-commissioning and tech refresh of network devices
- Facilitate in problem solving and collaboration and provide a fast break-fix solution and service
- Ensures network platform is functioning properly at the customer site. Maintain the availability of network operations including network related incident and change management in accordance with stipulated Service Level Agreements
- Provide preventive maintenance such as patching and firmware updates for network devices
- Ensure network infrastructure complies with security policies
- Prepare and maintain assets to ensure availability and update of capacity reports
- Update process and procedural documents
- Analyze helpdesk (Level 1 support) / via phone or email requests promptly and provide solutions, follow-up on helpdesk for technical support on all Business Unit Products and Solutions
- Support and assist in product/solution demonstrations, proof of concepts and installation for customers & resellers
- Understand customer's production support problems, recommends solutions to meet their needs, and ensures high level of customer's satisfaction
- Stay abreast of product roadmap as well as understanding the scenarios, features and functions within each of the products and how these are applied to address business and technical problems. This includes interacting with distributors/vendors on an on-going basis to stay current.
- Prepare for meetings and tailoring communications to address business needs of customers as part of the post sales process.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor network and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime meets SLAs.
Implement and maintain network and system security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure access policies.
Manage vendor relationships and project execution
Collaborate with the global IT team on infrastructure projects and initiatives.
Handle incidents, change requests, and service requests in line with ITIL or company processes.
Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular reports.

Requirements
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
Experience with server administration (Windows Server, AD, AWS) and cloud networking (Amazon Web Services Cloud).
