As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job Responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Very good understanding in multiple network infrastructure technologies and protocols including Global and Local load balancing, DNS, network routing, switching, WAN, firewalls and proxies.
- Experienced and knowledge in the following key areas - Network Architecture & Engineering (planning, provision), Design (compliance, security), Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (program management, network management) and Infrastructure life-cycle management and refresh.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Zero-Trust, Micro-segmentation, SASE architectures & Content Delivery Network (CDN)
- Experience in handling audit preparation (internal & external regulatory)
- Thorough understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch, and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to collaborate with different teams and roles to achieve common goals.
- Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms.
- Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS) and cloud technologies
- Understanding of DevOps principles and network automation solutions
