Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, tools, and controls using SolidWorks and CAD tools.
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of drawings, bills of materials, purchase requisitions, and quality checks according to project schedules.
• Conduct design reviews to evaluate technical specifications, sketches, and related data, ensuring optimal design solutions.
• Lead technical discussions with customers to define project requirements and specifications, and present progress updates.
• Oversee internal and customer reviews on project design and development milestones.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, debugging, and customer acceptance stages.
• Prepare technical reports, manuals, and documentation to support project execution.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, including assembly diagrams, wiring schematics, and work instructions.

• Liaise with vendors to resolve technical requirements and issues during the design process.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or related fields.
• 1–3 years of experience in designing automated machines or material handling systems.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and skilled in precision technical drawing and modelling.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, production techniques, and related technologies.
• Ability to work independently and engage with customers on technical specifications.
• Effective communication skills for team discussions and meetings.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Conversant in Mandarin and/or Tamil to support overseas operations.
• Willingness to undertake 3 months of technical training in China.

JOB SCOPE (Design Engineer )

• Design, test, debug and commission the company's product, which include jigs and fixtures, customized semi and fully automatic machines .

• Attend meetings with customers to discuss on their requirements in new projects and/or project proposals.

• Research and develop new ideas and concept to enhance company's performance and competitiveness in the field of industrial automation.

• Procure and/or assist in the procurement of necessary items to enable the performance of above duties.

Requirements

• Minimum ITE, Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum two to four years relevant experience in customized Automation Machine Design .

• Experience in customized semi-con/ connector/ machine design preferred.

• Knowledge in Solidworks preferred, familiar with Pro-E and Inventor added advantage.

• Intuitive in mechanical movement, function and performance. Good perception of 2D & 3D objects.

• Understand machining processes well.

• Intrinsic desire and passion to design high performance machines.

• Able to communicate well technically in English

Job Description:

• Drive the design of next-generation semiconductor automation equipment and modules, transforming ideas into functional designs and prototypes.
• Create detailed fabrication, assembly, and layout drawings using 3D CAD tools, such as CREO , SolidWorks , or other acceptable software.
• Perform structural, kinematic, and dynamic analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations and tolerance stack-ups, to ensure design robustness.
• Work with software, electronics, and vision engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs into complete system solutions.

About the role:
