We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Purchaser to support our construction projects by managing site inventory and handling the procurement of construction materials and equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are sourced on time, stock levels are well-managed, and project operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:Store Management (Construction Site / Warehouse):
- Receive, inspect, and store construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain accurate stock records using manual logs or inventory software
- Track and monitor material usage on-site and issue stock as required
- Conduct regular stock checks and support periodic audits
- Ensure proper storage practices to avoid material loss, damage, or wastage
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store area
- Source and purchase construction materials, tools, and consumables as per project requirements
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with suppliers for best terms
- Prepare purchase orders and track delivery schedules
- Coordinate closely with site supervisors, project managers, and vendors
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor records
- Liaise with accounts team for invoice verification and payment processing
- Assist project teams in forecasting material requirements
- Generate monthly stock and purchase reports
- Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- Familiarity with construction materials and equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and handle site-level coordination
