(What you will be working on)

The Community Engagement Manager will play a key role in fostering and managing data and AI communities within the public sector. This role focuses on running flagship programmes and initiatives to upskill public officers in AI and data literacy while partnering product teams and fellow Agencies to strengthening the broader ecosystem. The incumbent will oversee regular networking sessions, engagement amongst bootcamp participants/alumni, product teams, and localized agency initiatives, ensuring active engagement and long-term impact.

Community Engagement & Programme Management

  • Lead and execute Data & AI Connect (DAC), a regular networking session for general public sector officers who are interested or are working in data and AI roles, facilitating cross-agency collaboration.

  • Lead and execute Data & AI Connect X (DACx), a spin-off of Data & AI Connect, where individual government agencies co-host the event to showcase their internal AI and data projects.

  • Coordinate closely with agency partners to facilitate their involvement in DACx, helping them structure and execute their engagement efforts.

  • Establish strategic partnerships with government agencies and industry leaders to align DAC/DACx with key public sector priorities, driving active participation.

  • Identify agency needs related to AI and data adoption, proactively suggesting relevant GovTech products and platforms to drive awareness and onboard new users.

  • Work closely with agency stakeholders to ensure their Data & AI challenges are surfaced, addressed, and integrated into broader public sector learning initiatives.

  • Facilitate multi-agency collaboration opportunities through DACx and Prompt Royale, ensuring at least 10 cross-agency engagements per year.

  • Track and report on engagement impact metrics, ensuring hundreds of officers participate across DAC/DACx sessions annually.

  • Identify and engage speakers from various industries such as private sector, academia, and research institutes to share insights with public sector officers.

  • Develop strategies to sustain engagement beyond events, ensuring long-term participation and knowledge retention among officers.

  • Handle full event logistics, from venue setup and participant onboarding to program scheduling, speaker coordination, and post-event engagement.

  • Cultivate a thriving data and AI community within the public service by keeping members engaged, updated, and actively contributing.

Product Marketing and Event Management

  • Plan and executeawareness campaignsto drive adoption of GovTech’s data and AI platforms across government agencies.

  • Organizeproduct clinics, workshops, and outreach initiativesto educate public officers on available AI tools and services.

  • Conduct preliminary needs assessments with agencies to match them with relevant GovTech AI & data solutions, and onboard new users to relevant GovTech products.

  • Work with agency leads and technical teams to track product adoption and refine messaging to increase relevance and usability.

  • Work closely with internal product teams to develop basic technical understanding and capabilities develop effective messages, so that agencies understand how these products could meet their needs.

  • Develop marketing materialssuch as electronic direct mailers (EDMs), social media updates (where relevant), and presentation decks to support outreach efforts.

  • Track and analyzeengagement metricsto refine event strategies and outreach effectiveness.

  • Stay updated with the Central/GovTech products available, their features and roadmap to explore synergies between the teams’ initiatives and the products.

(What we are looking for)

  • Diploma or Degree in Communications, Business, Technology, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in community engagement, program coordination, event planning, or stakeholder management.

  • Technical skills (such as data & AI, product management or software development), or experience managing public sector programs, tech-related initiatives, or learning communities is a strong advantage.
