Chief Strategy Officer
We're looking for an experience and talented Chief Strategy Officer with a background in and passion for integrated-and digital-marketing and campaign comms planning. The potential candidate is someone who feels equally comfortable in the creative strategy realm (debating which product propositions and campaign creative concepts) and in the non-creative realm (understanding the commercial implications of different contact strategies or digital media trends).
Responsibilities:
- Be part of our vibrant and dynamic Strategy team, working alongside other strategists in development of impactful engaging marketing activity that delivers against a client's business and marketing objectives
- Lead the integrated and creative strategy on the Samsung account as well as potentially other clients or new business pitches depending on capacity and capability fit. Take ownership for all phases of client strategy – from client briefing and strategy development, guiding of creative development, to evaluating and discussing performance and optimisation
- Work alongside our team of CRM & Performance specialist strategists who lead the holistic CDM strategy, deployment tactics, communications flow programming, and operational rollout of all our CRM campaigns
- Become a trusted confidante of your clients – who are smart, driven and ambitious – and immerse yourself in the business, culture and consumers of consumer technology (mobile, TV, home appliance)
- Become a powerful ally to our client service team in helping to ensure Iris is valued as an insightful and trusted partner, and work with them to develop and lead proactive client initiatives which keep our clients inspired and lead to more interesting agency opportunities
- Collaborate with creative teams to not only develop briefs but to remain involved throughout creative development and execution. Become a trusted ally of the creative leads to ensure we are pushing Iris' creative to new heights
- Contribute towards the development of the wider strategy team by collaborating with supporting planners, and by sharing interesting tools or techniques with the wider agency
- Bring your experience, enthusiasm, hunger for greatness, can-do attitude and energy
Qualification:
- You must have at least 7-10 years experience of working in the Strategy or Planning department of a creative or digital marketing agency, and experience of working alongside account management and creative department
- You have vast experience of working in integrated marketing and communications, including developing strategic propositions for product marketing, identifying interesting trends and best practice in integrated and digital marketing (e.g. social, ecommerce, post-cookie world, SEO, NFT), and presenting passionately and convincingly to a range of senior clients and their wider stakeholders
- You have experience in developing and managing an annual programme of agency activity across multi-layered organizations – including larger scale multi-channel campaigns, medium-scale tactical spikes, and smaller-scale adhoc promotional activity
- You have experience of working with client-side research and integrate key learnings to the agency's strategies or creative development
- You have good understanding of how technology companies typically work and are comfortable navigating client organisations with local, regional and HQ layers
- You have a good awareness of global and regional effective marketing campaigns, which you can use as stimulus and reference with both clients and creative teams to drive towards effective strategic propositions and creative campaigns
