Job Description

Under direct supervision assists with the monitors, tests and inspects all processes involved in the production of a product and product itself. Ensure the quality standards are met by every component of the product or service provided by a company.
+ Responsible for inspecting products using established inspection tools and techniques.
+ Performs and documents First Article, In-Process, and Final inspections on parts in production to ensure that customer requirements and quality standards are met.
+ Inspects material and product received from outside sources to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
+ Timely complete all assigned technical and safety trainings.
+ Work in the field (outside conditions) providing assistance with the movements of materials for Inspection.
+ Clean drilling tools and rig equipment for inspection.
+ Learn and maintain the cleaning machinery which includes mechanical brushing unit, steam cleaner and high-water pressure jetting equipment.
+ Take responsibility for the safety of all cleaning machinery and responsibility for environmental control over the working areas.
+ Report any unsafe conditions or acts to the Supervisor.
+ Ensure that work assignments are performed in accordance with approved plans, schedules and programs.
+ Provide technically correct operation of equipment and other fixed assets under responsibility of the department.
+ Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
+ Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
+ Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
+ Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
+ Min secondary school graduates, or high or ITE/ technical education is a plus.
+ Minimum 3 years of related experience in QC inspection.

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, testing, and audits, as well as supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high levels of product quality and operational efficiency.
This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and is part of the Quality department located in Singapore, 25 Tuas South Street 1 and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
+ Leading/providing oversight in OOS investigation, deviation report writing and CAPA planning
+ Provide general oversight on QC routine operations, ensuring that the product and raw material testing schedules are on-track with minimal backlog
+ Approximately 30% of time dedicated to performing Quality Control (QC) testing activities, 70% of time focused on supporting various QC operational activities
+ Driving adherence to quality KPI's and ensure timely reporting of data and trend to relevant stakeholders
+ Ensure that validation of new QC laboratory equipment and method is performed
Who you are:
+ University graduate (Science) with reasonable work experience OR equivalent relevant work experience
+ Possess at least 3 to 5 years of experience working in a QC Laboratory environment
+ Extremely detail and accuracy-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
+ Experience in writing Laboratory Investigation details, Deviation records with root cause analysis and Change Control records
+ Knowledge and experience of a GxP environment or other regulated industry
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform dimensional inspections of parts using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs).
+ Verify the accuracy of manufactured parts and ensure inspection methods are properly followed.
+ Interpret drawings, specifications, and sketches; adapt measurement devices and procedures as needed. Read and understand basic technical drawings and specification requirements.

    Your Responsibilities

    Incoming Inspections
    • Ensure Process Compliance: Oversee inspection and operational processes to ensure adherence to established procedures, work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
    • Develop Test Specifications and Programs: Create test specifications and measurement programs for geometric and non-geometric tests, including material testing devices (e.g., tensile-testing).
    • Support Fixture and Jig Design: Collaborate with internal and external service providers to design and construct fixtures and jigs, including concept development and requirement specification creation.

    • Supports and or lead the conceptualized bill of materials creation together with relevant functions for new product development.

    • Support suppliers change requests and qualification initiatives, including new parts, revisions, and tooling changes, to ensure seamless integration into the supply chain.

    • Ensure timely resolution of supplier quality issues, including implementing corrective and preventive actions to address root causes effectively.
    • Drive measurable improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance, ensuring consistent excellence in supplier scorecards and quality metrics.
    • Establish and maintain Supplier Quality Agreements, ensuring clarity in expectations and adherence to standards.
    • Lead supplier audits (desktop, remote, or onsite) as part of the Global Supplier Audit program by developing comprehensive audit agendas, conducting thorough evaluations, preparing detailed supplier audit reports, and ensuring supplier adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

    Your Profile
    • Technical / scientific degree at college / university level (mechanical, mechatronic engineering or equivalent)
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, preferably within a regulated environment.
    • Expert knowledge in quality inspection techniques, quality tools, failure mode analysis, and extensive experience in handling measuring instruments.
    • Proven experience in calibrating and maintaining quality control equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
