The ideal candidate will have experience handling dry shipping and international trade disputes in international arbitration and in litigation, preferably with experience in the Far East. Asian language skills would be advantageous.

Seagoing experience as a Master (at least CoC Class 1 or 2), or at least 2 years of experience of shore experience in relation to safety, health and environment management and compliance for product or chemical tankers.
To carry out shipboard Internal audits / QHSE Inspections as required.

The Marine Superintendent will report to the Safety Operations/Quality Assurance General Manager. The incumbent will ensure the safe operation of ships and compliance to the statutory requirements of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
The Marine Superintendent will assist in the implementation and upkeep of the Safety Management System; analyses risk and ensures compliance to the organization's risk management framework. • Deep understanding of Pure Care Carrier and Container vessels operations, and experience in Cargo Damage Prevention on board is preferred.
• Understand and appreciate the commercial implications of vessel operations. Detailed and analytical, and have a safety, cost and quality conscious mindset. Open to change management and adaptable to a fast and versatile environment.

Key accountabilities
